Said to be the pinnacle of Team17's popular turn-based strategy game series, Worms Armageddon is an old classic that still remains as entertaining as it was in the 1990s. Thanks to continued support in the modern day, the game today even supports widescreen gameplay (with only the minor caveat of a stretched menu). It has a plethora of classic weapons, crazy physics, lots of strategic depth, and a huge opportunity of laugh-out-loud moments. The best thing about Worms Armageddon however, is the vast customization options for players' teams of worms, allowing more creative types to add their own speechbanks, victory themes, flags, and gravestones to go along with whatever team and worm names they can come up with. As said by some players, the multiplayer Wormnet system is kind of archaic, but it works when there's an online multiplayer itch to scratch. It is best played with friends locally, so if you're looking a fun multiplayer game with depth and humor, Worms Armageddon is an easy choice.
You control a team of worms, and your objective, is to defeat the enemy team in a turn based war game, you can choose various weapons, my favorite one is the sheep, it's all fun untill someone calls air support, them, everything that could go wrong, goes, your team dies, enemy teams dies, everything dies, except the sheep, because the sheep always comeback
I play worms usually with friends. Game is not good with computer Al. With friends it is something spectacular and and nice. this game have good sense of humour (with support of many languages for example Finnish). Graphics are still sharp with full hd -monitor. Worms Armageddon is original turn-based teams vs. team tactical last man standing match. I think this is the best game on Worms-series. I have played also Worms Reloaded, Worms 1 & 2, World Party, Ultimate Mayhem and Mayhem. There is many weapons with good tools to modify them. You can make your own profiles with own rules. I usually play with basic weapons, many ropes, low health and high rate weapon drops (packages from skies). We usually make own levels (you can draw them) to play. Fine Worms-experience with all that Worms-game need to offer. Not for singleplayer gamers.
I love this game. Probably the top Worms game out there. Perfect mood throughout the campaign. Personally, I prefer it over one of the newer games, where there's constant narration by some British dude. Now, if only they release Worms World Party on GMG... ;)
This game right here is the height of the franchise's gameplay. This is the Worms game that got me hooked on gaming. This is the Worms game that I bonded with my brothers over, during those summer days. This Worms game has so much memories attached to it. It is this Worms game that really cemented the series into the minds of all its fans. If the game was already good from the start, not only was this better, but it proved to be the best and most enduring memory to at least *this* gamer. The graphics, the music, the weapons: all amazingly updated. The customization options: simply superb. The overgratuitous amount of explosions within the game: not as much as the fun you're going to have when you buy and play this game. You really won't regret it.
