THE STORY. In 2021 humankind received a distress signal from the far side of the Moon, and immediately sent four brave people to investigate its source. You will be monitoring the astronauts and make decisions that will directly impact the story and the characters. Each choice may lead you closer to - or farther from - the truth.
Zarya - 1: Mystery on the Moon is space-themed visual novel indie game and don't be mistaken by the 1 in the title, it is not an episode number, it is just part of the title. Pictures are nice (some of them animated), fonts are readable and highlighted, so there is no issue with reading it and is not tiresome, sound is ok, there is nothing to talk or complain about, because it is visual novel, and important thing there is writing. In this case, for indie game, it is actually not that bad, because it is pretty decent science fiction story, although it could survive without all the cursing, which sometimes makes this game look incredibly childish. Swearing is fine, but I guess they didn't get the cue from Aliens or any other Cameron movie to see how to do it without sounding like child. What is actually really smart about this game is that it gives you rewind option just like Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward, which is really great feature. Also, lenght of this title is just right, around 7 hours, which for this price is pretty decent game time. Overall, pretty nice small indie visual novel for night reading. Recommended, especially since the price is amazingly low.
Zarya-1: Mystery on the Moon is described as a interactive fiction game that takes place on a moon. The main premise of the game is to led the team consisting of four specialist whos task is to explore and discover what emits the strange signal. Zarya-1 is one of those games where your decisions did matter and may lead to different outcomes thought the story, luckily if you mess up too much there's a rewind option. Overall, the plot is interesting and the price is right to check out the first chapter.
