If you’re a little older you may think first of the books, where we see Conan explore the Hyborian Age, always moving, always fighting for what’s right (and a healthy bag of gold).
With Conan Chop Chop you’ll see a version of the Conan universe you’ve never experienced before.Here’s what you need to know, along with the newly announced release date.
What is Conan Chop Chop?
Conan Chop Chop is a cartoon rogue-lite action game where you take on an adventure to stop the resurrection of the dark sorcerer Xaltotun by long-running series baddie Thoth-Amon.
Dive in solo or take your friends as you fight to save the world from eternal damnation. With a unique cartoony twist on Conan this looks to be the type of game you bring your friends over, get it on the big TV or screen, and just laugh for hours as you fight against evil and each other.
With multiple heroes to choose from, each specialising in a different form of combat, you’ll always have a way to play that’ll appeal to you. In addition, with the game’s rogue-lite systems at play you’ll never see the same dungeons or maps the same way twice.
You won’t just be hacking and slashing in Conan Chop Chop, you’ll be helping to rebuild a devastated town by the name of Hanumar. As this town is resurrected around you, new shops, new items, and new upgrades will become available. In addition, the town will persist past your death, so you’ll always be levelling up and making progress even if you have a bad run.
With endless replayability, a tonne of classes to play as, and the best and most original take on Conan we’ve ever seen – Conan Chop Chop is looking to be something very special indeed. Conan Chop Chop looks to be a riotous action game when played in solo, online co-op, or couch co-op modes, and we’re desperately looking forward to getting our hands on it.
Conan Chop Chop Release Date
You’ll be able to play Conan Chop Chop from the 1st of March, 2022 when it’ll be getting its full release. Conan Chop Chop will be hitting PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms all at once making sure you’ll be able to play it wherever you game.
In addition, a demo will be available for PC and Nintendo Switch players from February the 21st, so look out for that if you want to check it out and get a taste of the action.
