Hey you, yeah you, are you looking for everything you need to know about Evil West? Well good news buddy, you’re in the right place because we’ve got it all here. We’ve known about this unusual-looking third-person shooter for nearly a year now, but aside from looking pretty and being filled with monster giblets, it can be hard to know what you’re meant to know about the game.
So, as long as what you want is information on this vampire-slaying action game, then we’ve got everything you need. Evil West release date
As it stands, and we all know this could change given how tumultuous things are at the moment, Evil West is due to release on November 22, 2022. It was originally meant to release in September but was put back in its coffin to rest for a little bit longer before showing its face in broad daylight.
That’s not how games are made. Basically, Focus Entertainment, the publishers of Evil West, tweeted that they were thankful for the support, but it turns out that releasing a game on five platforms (Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, PS4, PS5, and PC) is actually very hard work, and to make sure it was as good as it could be, the game would be pushed back a couple of months. A two-month delay isn’t a huge amount of time in the scheme of things, but hopefully, it means that the developers have had time to work out any kinks there may be, and also do so in a way that’s free from crunch.
Evil West gameplay
Evil West is a third-person action game that has you fighting across the western frontier of America, but a version of it that’s full of monsters. It looks to be frenetic, stylish, and incredibly bloody, with players mixing guns and melee attacks in with more surreal abilities to allow for a strong feeling of flow throughout each combat encounter. We’re expecting skills to be unlocked as you go, perks that’ll help you make your character your own, and no doubt plenty of weapons to play around with too.
It all looks a bit like a character action game a la Devil May Cry, albeit without Dante’s sexy white hair and general early 00’s ‘tude screaming back at you. What’s really interesting about Evil West is that it’ll also have co-op play too, which will allow you to take on the messed-up world of Evil West with a friend. We’re not sure how the progress will work on that, but we’ll let you know as soon as we do.

We’ve had two trailers for Evil West so far. The first is the gameplay reveal trailer for The Game Awards 2021, which has a raspy narrator talking over a cowboy shooting everything in front of them to death, and also unleashing some somewhat magical abilities, like lightning punches and high-speed dodges.
The second trailer was the release date trailer, which is technically no longer correct, but is still a nice chance to look at the game a little bit more. It also looks to be a little updated visually, and has a better “gameplay” sheen than the first trailer, while still showing off a bevy of massive monsters, horrors, and over-the-top action.
