Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive and Dodge. If you can master the five D’s of dodgeball you just might be ready to take on the upcoming competitive dodgeball style game Knockout City releasing on the 21st May 2021 on all major platforms. With the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions being enhanced. This isn’t your standard gymnasium dodgeball though. Check out the Knockout City trailer below for a taste of the over the top action.
What is Knockout City?
Team up with your crew in Knockout City as you battle it out across stylish city maps in intense competitive action where you will be defying the laws of physics with your dodgeball skills. Each map has its own special features making it an unexpected and fun experience. Battle in back alleys with pneumatic tubes, on skyscrapers, your local burger joint, even on construction sites and busy streets. But make sure you keep an eye out for obstacles such as cars and wrecking balls.
Make use of power ups across the map that boost attack speed, pick up a sniper ball, or even ball yourself up to be thrown by your teammates. The action will be fast and frantic.
Coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, Knockout City crossplay will be available from launch meaning you can team up with friends no matter the platform.
Crew Up
Get together your best crew for multiplayer matches with seamless crossplay and take on opponents in 3v3, 4v4 or free-for-all matches. Work together and create strategies to dominate your opponents with passing plays and more to unlock distinctive crew-only rewards.
With expansive character creation options you’ll be able to customise your look and your Crew’s design with gear, hairstyles, clothing, and custom gliders. Furthermore, switch up your own taunt animations, KO effects and a load more. Your crew will even sport the same logo on their backs during matches. You’ll be able to create hundreds of unique looks as you unlock rewards as you play.
Pick up and play
Knockout City is designed to be easy for new players to get familiar with whilst allowing practiced players to become the most stand out ballers. The game features easy to learn and intuitive controls that will help you get on an even playing field quickly. But there are still skills to be learned along the way that will keep you coming back for more.
With Knockout City’s price of £19.99 you can start playing at a good price. However, if you have EA Play or Xbox Game Pass then you will also get Knockout City free to play as part of your subscription.
Additionally, there are new seasons being planned that will introduce new maps, game modes, crazy ball types, cosmetic items and more.
Knockout City is looking like a great multiplayer brawler/sports style game with an excellent competitive element wrapped up in a stylish package. This should be a great game to play whether you’re teaming up with friends or not.
