Monster Hunter Stories 2 Monsters – The ones To Look Out For
While that’s quite the extensive list of bad beasties, there are some from that catalogue of malcontents that are arguably head and shoulders (or should that be tail and claws?) above their brethren and quite rightly deserve their own spotlight. Quite simply, these are three monsters that will force you to elevate your game and then some.
Monster Hunter Stories 2 Monsters – Azure Rathalos
An especially dangerous variant of the already massively challenging Rathalos monster, the Azure Rathalos is easily one of the most dangerous foes you’ll come across in Monster Hunter Stories 2. Soaring through the sky, the Azure Rathalos wyvern boasts stronger wings than its regular counterpart, allowing the creature to stay airborne for much longer while it dishes out ample amounts of poison and fire damage from afar. Confronting the Azure Rathalos up close is a sobering prospect too, as this winged titan can rattle off devastating combos while also enjoying much higher health and stamina in comparison to the standard Rathalos wyvern. A foe to be feared and no mistake.
Monster Hunter Stories 2 Monsters – Nergigante
One of the largest monsters in the entire game, the fearsome Nergigante more than lives up to its name to say the least. A stunningly large Elder Dragon, Nergigante’s size and aggression is such that it actually feeds on other Elder Dragons in order to survive. In combat, Nergigante represents a nightmarish prospect for any party of hunters, thanks in no small part to its horrendously thick armoured hide which quickly regenerates after being attacked. When on offense, Nergigante’s massive and elongated limbs allow it to leverage an array of terrifyingly sharp, hardened spikes to slice and impale its enemies at both close and long distances.
Monster Hunter Stories 2 Monsters- Oroshi Kirin
Don’t let its unicorn style appearance fool you, the Oroshi Kirin is a deceptively capable monster that can present a whole range of problems to even the most experienced group of hunters. Extremely fast on its hoofs, the Oroshi Kirin can lay waste to its enemies with a range of melee and ranged elemental attacks that allow it to deal with threats both close and at longer distances.
