The London Games Festival, 12 days of play across the city, kicks off today and Green Man Gaming are going to be all over it.
Key events at the festival include the Games Finance Market, EGX Rezzed, the Now Play This exhibition, BAFTA Games Awards, industry talks, cosplay parade and more. The full list of events can be found on the London Games Festival website.
We’ll be celebrating games culture and getting involved in industry events in the next few days and we thought we’d tell you where you’ll be able to find us throughout the festival. If you spot us and want to say hello or share any feedback with us – please do!
Games Finance Market
Venue: City of London
The 4th edition of the Games Finance Market connects games businesses with investors, publishers, financiers and new sources of funding over a two-day event from 3 – 4 April.
Dave Clark, MD of Green Man Gaming Publishing, will be attending the event for both days so, if you’re a game dev / business attending the event – make sure you set up your face-to-face meeting with us.
The HUB
Venue: Embankment Galleries, Somerset House, London
It’s the central home for the festival’s summits, galleries, demo zone, international pavilions and networking space. There’s free access to the Founder stage and demo zone on 2 and 3 April but make sure you get a ticket first.
Martin Baxter, CCO of Green Man Gaming will be presenting a cheque to the charity, GamesAid, after raising funds through sales of GMG’s GamesAid bundle at 4.30PM on 3 April. If you’re around, come and see us on the Founder Stage at The HUB in Somerset House.
EGX Rezzed
Venue: Tobacco Dock, London
Green Man Gaming Publishing will be showing off its new IP, ShockRods, together with developers Stainless Games for the first time at Rezzed from 4 to 6 April.
If you’re up for some hands on time playing an over the top, in your face vehicle combat arena shooter, then come along to the ShockRods stand. You’ll find us on the upper floor, next to the Indies (check out the Rezzed guide book for the exact location).
Do say hi to the team. GMG’s social and community team will be roaming round the event so, if you see Alex (our Social Media Manager), Frank (our Brand Community Development Manager) and Suraya (our Head of Communications) make sure you come and say hello – we’ll be wearing GMG t-shirts. And our GMG Publishing team – Matt, Jonny and Dave – will be at the ShockRods stand.
Fancy a challenge? On Saturday 6 April, we’ll have a few prizes to give away from 3.30 – 4.30pm at the ShockRods stand if you take part in our secret challenge! You’ll have to come along to find out more or look out for our flyers at the event.
Have a great London Games Festival!
