Game description

Jemand hat dir was angehängt, was außer dir keinen interessiert. Sei vorsichtig.

Sei sarkastisch. Sei düster. Sei, was du willst.

Original pixelated story.

Beat Cop is an interesting experience, you can beat the game without moving forward with the storyline. Although my plan is to finish the game again this time getting the best possible ending for a change. And as for the endings, there are at least a few of them, judging from what happens at the end of the game. Beat Cop is a production that absolutely deserves a place on the shelf. And it deserves basically every praise. Give it a go.

Beat cop... because he's out!

This game screams late 80s/early 90s Sierra/Lucasart adventure point and click classic. Graphics are excellent, sound is fitting and puzzles are perfect, not too easy, but also not too hard, maybe with some small exceptions. What really shines in this game is the humour, this game is funny straight to the end. However, it has the same downsides like Sierra/Lucasart games had back in the day, and that is difficulty. In some games from good old days, time management was important, and if you did something too late, like for example in Gold Rush, it was game over for you and it wasn't fast but in the late game, same with Codename Iceman, Here, it is the same, you have pretty strict time limit, and while it is nice it has multiple endings, the problem is that you don't have much time to play around. Another Issue with this game are the gamebreaking bugs, like some events locking for whatever reason other than time limit, making your whole progress grind to a halt and you either were smart and saved often or you man up and face the consequences and restart from the beginning. It is really brutal and that's why it is kind of hard to recommend this game. It has almost everything in place and at the same, it is all worthless because of gamebreaking bugs that prevent progression to the other part of the game. Overall, great humor, full of references to cop shows, great soundtrack and graphics, but bugs are a gamble. If you miss old Sierra/Lucasart, look no further and pick it up now, you won't regret it. However, if you're into light hearted adventure game, you might consider waiting for a sale, because this game can get hard and really stressful.

Good Cop, Bad Cop

You can easily tell a lot of effort was put into the pixel art, because it looks absolutely stunning. The story is great and there are numerous endings you can achieve, which helps to increase the replay value. As advertised, it has the feel of 80's cop shows and the atmosphere created by the story and humour definitely reflects this. This game is dark, gritty, and worth your time.
