Blades of Awesome

Aside from this game being a guilty pleasure, it is actually really fun. It looks quite good visually, has a really solid fighting system, and a very unique rewind mechanic that keeps the gameplay interesting. In addition, the voice acting and dialog is so bad it's legendary. This game is highly recommended.

Same decent fun af prequel.

Even thought Blades of Time have more beatiful graphics than prequel, X-Blades, it still doen't bring more fun. Even thought the main heroine looks even more beatiful, it still doesn't bring more fun than prequel. So, in short, it's still a decent game. A poor's man Devil May Cry and similar games. It starts fun and get boring as you get to the end. I would have really hard time playing it once again. I'd say I enjoyed it same as X-Blades, no more but I would recommend everyone to at least try it, since you might enjoy it much more than I did.

Learning the hard way

So I put off playing this game for a long time....The reason? X- Blades...it looked familiar to this...very familiar.....the reason being they are made by the same company...X-Blades was kinda interesting...but didn't really feel well made....much like one of those games made for a newer generation that should have been for a much older one....Clunky feeling with controls, bad story, a game you play but can't get yourself to really invest your attention in.....Well I picked this up and wow....how this lil company has grown... While it does have a similar feel to X Blades, Blades of Time is a lot more refined. Controls are smoother, combat is a bit more complex and engaging. It's no 10/10 but I feel if Gaijin keeps stepping up like they do their future games will have some real fun and charm to them. If you ever find this on sale...pick it up, actually pick up both just so you can see how much they've improved.

Better than I expected

I had this game in my library for a long time now, but never felt motivated to start playing it. Due to the rewards from Playfire I started playing it and was pleasantly surprised. Visuals are lovely and most of the different areas you visit are beautifully crafted. The combat system seems too easy at first, but it gets harder quite fast, as soon as you meet more enemies and especially ranged ones. Blades of Time features a quite unique rewind system to use in puzzles and especially in boss fights, which made it even more appealing to me, but enough with the positive aspects, the one thing I didn't like that much in the game is the voice acting of the protagonist Ayumi, it just sounds silly, but also funny at the same time. Overall I can recommend this game to anyone who likes to play Hack and Slash games like Darksiders or DmC.

Not bad slasher.

The game does not claim to be the masterpiece of its genre. Conversations sound cliche, frankly simple puzzles, storyline is blurred and indistinct. Landscapes locations, though picturesque, but too linear, although this sin all the games of this genre. But however, not all of it is so important in the "slasher", the main thing that the blood flowed like water, and the enemies are not ended. And with that, the game manages to solid top five. Battles reckless, colorful and exciting, while the game does not fly much. Anyway, fans of the genre Hack'n'Slash, I think the game like the same as I do.
