Blood Bowl 2 is a solid game. An adaptation of the board game and sequel to the cult PC hit, it's a turn-based hybrid of fantasy and sports. Each team feels like they play differently, with the Elves running a more agile 'run and score' or passing game, whereas the Dwarves typically run headlong into other players to keep the ball. It's a game that appeals to hardcore fans of the series and newbies, but new players should definitely play the campaign as a lengthy tutorial before they jump into the league. This game is far from a blockbuster, with some bugs and design flaws, but there is serious fun to be had here, where you can create your own team and league for online or offline play. My only gripe is the delay of DLC on certain platforms.
The undead are currently the newest team to be added back into Blood Bowl, the undead team is a good choice for new players with access to some hard hitting units and with the regeneration skill on most of their players. The team gets access to a mummy as their big player with a movement of three, strength of five, and a high armor value of nine, they also have the mighty blow and regeneration skills and while they might not have as many positive skills as some other big characters they don't have any negatives, not even loner, you can also use two of them. Wights have access to block and regeneration. Ghouls have a high movement rate and the dodge skills but lack the regeneration skill of the rest of the team. Zombies and skeletons will make up the rest of the team with the zombies being a bit slower and more armored and the skeletons being faster and with the thick skull skill. Each of the players looks good and the team is fun to use, if you are ok with paying the high cost they are worth picking up.
