Finally good part!

After rather disappointing part 3 and 4, that lost some of the series spirits, we return to the proven format in Broken Sword 5. Yes, this is the old, good Broken Sword, with all its flaws and advantages. Again George and Nico will provide us with a few hours of interesting storyline, ingenious (but sometimes illogical) puzzles and a healthy dose of good sense of humor. Graphic design ideally combines nostalgia with modern technology, beautiful hand-drawn backgrounds and character models that blend well in all this. It's not a perfect game, it has its flaws, but if you are looking for something other than Call of Duty, you will not go wrong with this purchase.

The Broken Sword awakens

This game felt like Star Wars 7. I loved it, and would recommend it for everyone who loved the series, yet i keep hearing that it's the same as the first one. I don't really see that, neither in Star Wars,m,, nor here, but I admit, this game kinda returns to it roots visually, plus you return to paris as well, but apart from that, this is a brand new adventure. The new graphics look amazing. I still like the hand Drawn characters better, but i admit, what looks good, looks good. Also, the writing and the characters are still great, and after so many years it's good to have them back again. My only problem with this game, is the same with four, it felt a little short. The first game took me a week to finish, and this one was 3-4 days max, and i doubt i got that much smarter in the years since :) Anyway, i hope this is not the last game, because we need games like this!

Broken Sword 5 - The Serpent's Curse.

Broken Sword 5 is a gorgeous adventure, I was a lucky guy, I won a giveaway and it is the best giveaway I had the luck to win until now. These series are not too hard, it has steam achievements, which are easy, and cards too. A casual entertaining game with a gameplay that may pass a total of 15 hours (I tagged 19h, missed some achievements so it may be a few hours short), depending on your accuracy with the clues.

The latest game, a gem for the veterans!

The developers of Broken Sword 5 took seriously the players' demands about a new point and click Broken Sword game, and they did an awesome job. This is the latest game from the franchise, but I hope it's not the last one. If they keep it up like this, I'll keep buying these games. Unlike the previous 3D games in the franchise, Broken Sword 5 is 2D (merged with cartoon-like 3D models) and it's very eye-catchy. The music evokes nostalgia for us veteran Broken Sword players, and there are tons of puzzles, sarcasm (oh, Mr. Stobbart...) and memorable moments and characters (meet Trevor!) If you haven't play any game from the franchise, I highly recommend you to buy the pack, it's a must have for all point and click lovers, and my favorite one. Keep up the awesome work!

A weak entry for the franchise

Broken Sword 5 represents the great return from Revolution Software on the classic point and click saga. George and Nico are back, but the adventure is not the best entry for the series. Sadly the plot is very weak, with an epilogue that reach the player too soon, just like if the developers want put an end to the game. On the first part of the game there's a lot of backtracking with some easy puzzles, while during the second episode you won't see the same screen twice, but on the other end is very very short, around a hour. Characters seem having no background at all, even the whole story between Nico and George feel abandoned. It's not a bad game, only decent, but for sure is not the best Broken World you can find.
