Reviews for Fallout 3: Operation Anchorage

Might have been better.

Fallout 3: Operation Anchorage is the first DLC for Fallout 3 and it's sadly the weakest of the add-ons that were released for this title. It concentrates on Brotherhood of Steel fraction telling one of their adventures. Sadly the main point of this DLC is shooting, shooting and even more shooting which honestly is the weakest mechanic of the game. Overall, you might give it a go but don't expect a gem.

Not bad, just don't expect RPG

This DLC strips Fallout 3 out of any RPG elements. It's straightforward FPS with the awkward shooting this game had. It would've been better for Fallout 4, because there shooter gameplay is really well done, here it was just there. Difficulty spikes are all over the place, plot is pretty weak, sound is pretty non-existent. At least there are nice views, but it's not enough, because there is not that much RPG in it - no significant choices or anything, just corridor shooter. You only sit through this to the end, because you bought it and want more out of the game and because reward for it is worth it if it's your early game. Not bad, but far from great.

Hours playing

A game, graphs for its "era" very open world, although sometimes the map is deserted, full of great enemies, very cool weapons and a complete game soooo.

At least it's not horse armor...

While it's not a bad addition to fallout 3, Operation Anchorage can be skipped altogether, you will lose almost nothing. The simulation is a cool idea, but overall, i didn't really like Fallout as a Call of Duty game, and compared to the enclave, the simulated chinese troops were kinda pushovers. I really recommend buying the game of the year version, of you really want to play this dlc. Or, i guess it's worth the 4 bucks it costs here.

Good mission with good reward

The missions are good and you get to fight the Chinese with pretty war weapons in a computer som which I found very creative. After completing the sim you unlock a room full of unique pretty war weapons and jingweis sword which again I found cool.Whether it's worth 4? I can't say but if it's on sale it's worth getting.
