I've had tons of fun when playing with my friends, much more so than playing other multiplayer games because this game, while simple, offers many different options and combinations for the character versus made even bigger by the DLCs. Personally I don't like DLCs all that much, but this game is one of the few games I've bought DLCs because it unlocks many different characters with different sets of skills. Do check it out if its on sale and you enjoy tabletop games and anime.
Then this definitely isn't what you're looking for, in fact, it is quite the opposite. It is the least skill-based game in existence, just roll and hope you win. AND IT IS A BLAST! Play with friends for some of the most random fun you'll ever have. Good music, good character designs, and many hundreds of hours of life gone down the drain.
100% Orange Juice is probably one of the most fun games I have ever played. Why is that? Because of the random nature of the game. Graphics are good, considering it is an indie board game, there really is not much to say about them. Soundtrack is amazing. I find myself humming along most of the tracks whenever they play because of how catchy they are, and they fit the game for the most part. The single player campaigns' plots are average, they are obviously not to be taken seriously, and most of them have Marie Poppo (one of the game's characters) stealing something from that campaign's protagonist, and them chasing after her. Gameplay and multiplayer are where the game shines. It plays like a normal board game, so there is a lot of randomness going on. You can battle other players when stepping on the same square as they are, or fight NPCs when you fall on specific squares. Before a match starts, players have to select 10 cards, then they are all gathered and put in a common pile of cards the four players share. They also have to select a character, all of them having different stats (Some of them having passive abilities) and fitting different kinds of gameplay, which means that the player needs to approach certain characters with different strategies. All characters also have a hyper card, which is unique and only they can use. Usually they are quite strong, but you have to learn to use them strategically. All in all, 100% Orange Juice is a great, fun game. If you are looking for a wonderful multiplayer experience for you and your friends to play (Or even if you want to play with strangers), then look no further. The DLCs might seem a bit pricey, but they are actually worth buying since they add new characters and cards to the game and in my opinion they are highly recommended, but are not needed to enjoy the game at all. Get it on sale if you are still not sure about whether you should get it or not, buy at full price if you cannot wait to play one of the most fun indie multiplayer experiences of the last few years.
It's a decent board game with anime characters. Like most board games, it is best played with friends. This game is quite convoluted and can take sometime to fully understand the rules. This game has Steam trading cards, which is always a plus. $6.99 is not bad for a full retail price. Definitely add this to your Want List and check it out if it goes on sale. I recommend this for anime and board game lovers.
This is a fun party game to play whenever you have 3 friends together and don't know what to do. This game is heavily RNG focused, but has lots of meaningful choices you can make to influence the RNG in order to make it a bit more competitive. The only major problem with this game is that it isn't very balanced, some characters are just outright better than others.
