Excellent RPG Maker title

Don't let the fact that this is an indie JRPG inspired game made in RPG Maker. While the visuals, combat system or story aren't too impressive, even for this type of game (following the old-school type of game design), it does provide a lot of good content ranging from a variety of unique locations to explore (including dungeons and towns of course) to challenging fights, character customization and tons of unlockables. As others have pointed out, this game (and most of the others made by Aldrolea as a matter of fact) don't break any new ground, but is certainly well-made and will convince you to at least finish the main story. It is well-worth the two dozen hours required to do that.

Decent RPG Maker Game

It's a chill and relaxing game made by Aldorlea, using RPG Maker. The combat is simple and not overly convoluted. The maps are very detailed and the game runs well. This game is very similar to turn based RPGs from the NES/SNES era. I recommend it if you liked games like the older Final Fantasys or Breath of Fire. It is fun to improve your equipment, skills, and characters. Check this game out when it is on sale.

Huge, but shallow

Many of the game's selling points revolve around the amount of content within. You definitely could put triple digit hours into this game if you took the time to explore. However, it's set in a very bland and stereotypical world that's not that fun to explore. The combat is ok and the art is nice. It may be worth playing, but not worth investing the time that the creators would like.

Great game overall

I would recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of the retro style RPG genre, but I am not sure if it is the game to change the minds of those who aren't Pros: +Nice visuals and soundtrack. +Many choices for party construction. +Battles are nicely done. +Humor and character development decent. +Multiple difficulty modes with choices on encounter rates. +Lots of optional side quests and hidden things to find. +The friendship dynamic is a nice touch. +Price tag fits the expectations. Cons: -A bit on the short side (wasn't 80 hours for me), story is about 20 hours of play. -Some of the side characters are incidental and do not fit the big picture as well as the others. -despite all the things the game got right, it didn't introduce anything that I could particularly call it's own, follows the general formula for this genre, so at the end of the day it doesn't stand out too much against the horde of other such games.
