Game description

Grab your copy of A Rose in the Twilight - Digital Bloodlust Edition! This bundle includes:

Rose in the Twilight
Rose in the Twilight Digital Soundtrack (15 tracks)
Rose in the Twilight Digital Artbook (36 pgs.)

In A Rose in the Twilight, use Rose's power to absorb blood and transfer it to static objects. By doing so, colorless objects become red and regain the essence of time. You will also need to make use of the giant's super strength by lifting and throwing objects to clear your path.

Every stage is a puzzle waiting to be pieced together. The further you get, the harder it becomes, but the greater the risk, the bigger the reward. Discover how to solve each stage as you delve deeper into the story's grim origins.

Key Features:
Color & Time - Without color and time, the player cannot progress, but with Rose's power you can take advantage of both these key elements.

Blood Memories - Splatters of blood are waiting to be found all throughout the castle, and each one contains a gruesome death.

Visual Storytelling - Collect Blood Memories to unlock the past by watching a series of vignettes pieced together by each victim's death.

Live, Die, Repeat - Utilize both Rose's and the giant's power to solve each stage, but if death happens to cut your journey short, be careful not to make the same mistake twice.

Bloody good game

A Rose in the Twilight is a platform/puzzle game in which you help Rose and her indestructible giant companion through the ruins of a castle that has lost its colors over the natural passage of time. Its excellent soundtrack accompanies the player between the different levels, the themes are suspenseful and pose the atmosphere appropriately. The sound effects are discreet and reinforce the impression of heavy silence of the frozen environment, that sound of footsteps resonating, creaking of cogs and crunches of broken bones. The animations are minimalist but capture the personalities of the characters better than long dialogues. They also serve to water down (without trying to hide) the violence of the deed that Rose will undergo throughout the adventure. The two protagonists have various skills and the majority of the puzzles will play on the synergy of the group to progress in the tables. At first glance the game is slow and it is possible to be somewhat frustrated by controls not always very practical especially when targeting the elements / characters, death is then frequent in addition to being an important part of the scenario. Each environment offers a different puzzle theme, the short lifespan of the title avoids it falling into redundancy by proposing a progressive difficulty until the last tables with some exercises of logic and reflexes rather full. Lovers of speed can subsequently redo the different levels in time attack. Finally there are also some secrets to recover, scattered in corners sometimes frankly twisted. The story is unpretentious, shown through various cut (e) scene and optional flashbacks. The characters do not speak but the scenes are clear enough for the player to understand what is going on. Overall a nice title to play and replay in addition to being offered at an affordable price.
