Armored Fist 3 has you in control of an M1A2 Abrams fighting enemies over large landscapes created with a voxel based engine, that originally released back in 1999. Two different modes of play allows for a more simple and arcade like mode and a more difficult more simulation like mode. The game has you fighting in a column of tanks and allows you to switch the tank you are controlling to one of your allied tanks. Four campaigns are available with success and failure effecting the later missions. The game doesn't look that good, even for its time, but they did put in some nice effects such as smoke when firing guns and the treads of tanks leaving their marks on the ground. If you want to try out an older tank game that has a bit more realism and some welcome features like campaigns and fighting in a group then this is one you might like to try.
I remember playing this game when I was younger and absolutely had a blast playing it. The missions and the game itself is straight to the point with the tutorial just learning how to drive a tank. The only downside I can think of is that when playing on the modern systems, the game doesn't really run smoothly. With the graphics in this game isn't too good compared to other games released around that date. Due to this you are often left in the open which requires you to use the terrain effectively as cover this can amount to some great strategies.
