The game that started it all.

Batman: Arkham Asylum is the first game of highly acclaimed series, it introduces the gameplay we all know and love now. While the map wasn't very big the game had some amazing boss fights, the only letdown was the final fight of the game that didn't fit to the Batman story. Overall you can call this game a legend that even after all these years after the release looks good.

I don't know what you see in this!

The so-called 'arkham style combat' is not challenging. it's obnoxious. I don't feel in control; I'm just spamming left click, and watching batman do all the work. I played it on the hardest difficulty, and had no trouble spamming my way through the campaign. The stealth is okay... functional. It's fine. You're gonna be fighting most of the time anyway, so it doesn't really matter. The story is fairly bog-standard. Joker escaped.... taking over the asylum.... and you are the only one.... whatever. I didn't have an amazing time with this game, but you might. It's usually on sale, so maybe pick it up if you really love batman.

Batman done right, finally

If you think back, video games never really did justice for the caped crusader. We had a lot of generic beat 'em up action games and an equal amount of 3d fighting games that looked horrible, had worse gameplay. Anyway you were controlling a black clothed dude with pointy ears that punched other dudes. Maybe he used batarangs, but that's it. And then, there's this game. Who would've thought that the best Genre for Batman is metroidvania. Rocksteady... This game does everything right. The story is perfect, the voices are awesome (had to be, with these actors) the graphics are great and you can use a ton of bat themed gadgets effectively. The game is rich in DC Lore, their is fan service through the roof, and so a batman fan will feel right at home. The game has stealth, melee fighting sessions, and both work fine. You actually feel like batman. The only part which under performs are the boss fights. they are not bad, but apart from Scarecrow nothing special. Big bulky dudes, that take a ton of punishment before they fall, and run straight into a wall if you dodge in time. Of course, the main reason you should play this game is the Riddler. His challenges are the real test for the worlds greatest detective and the reason, that this game for the first time ever actually feels like a BATMAN game, and not a generic superhero brawler.

I AM BATMAN!!!

Batman games are very complex games. Through interesting and very thrilling story you will experience satisfying hand-to-hand combat, stealth action, puzzle challenges and detective investigating. You will need to be strategical as you proceed the main campaign, especially in stealth parts of the game.

Batman: Arkham Asylum - a truly landmark game for the genre of action games.

At that time, due to the attempts Activision no longer anyone in the world who assumed that you can make a great game in the superhero genre. In 2009 we had a moderately positive Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2, and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. However, it all turned out just the preparation for Batman: Arkham Asylum, which I'm sure will soon be called a cult. Batman: Arkham Asylum has laid all the basic ideas for the last five-year plan of action games and become a benchmark for other developers. Some of the best ideas adapted combat systems for personal needs (Assassin's Creed), others do not hesitate to make his Batman, but in a different setting of (Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor). All somehow copied Batman, just not all admit it. Batman: Arkham Asylum game about superheroes brought to a new level. Show that invest properly in level design and elaboration of the characters, it is possible to impart interest to the hero, invented 70 years ago. Coming in 2009, Batman: Arkham Asylum was struck by a skilful combination of genres (action + stealth + Quest) and developers attention to detail (bristles hero grew up in real time, and some of the secrets found only a few years later). More surprising, that today Arkham Asylum Chamber looks small game compared with the subsequent Arkham City. It's not bad. This makes Arkham Asylum more personal and personalized. How corridor game Batman: Arkham Asylum almost obsolete, except that the dialogue and voice acting is not enough directors. PC-version at maximum settings still manages to look decent. The combo system is still pretty spectacular, although some methods of Arkham City is not enough (but to fight easier than in Arkham Origins). Almost all of Batman: Arkham Asylum Joker conducts a dialogue with the main character, and it gives this game Charm against other parts, which were developed in parallel relationship with the more boring villains. After 7 years after its release, I do not abhor recommend playing Batman: Arkham Asylum. Virtually no element of the game is not outdated, but the sound of the camera and in the dialogues. It is interesting to look at how it all began. + The combat system, which had a critical influence on the genre; + Slow PC-version of the timeless graphics; + Joker as one of the best villains of video games; + More than two hundred of secrets, serving a cause pereproyti game; + Constant flirtation with the comic book fans, a great number of references; + I wonder combined with Batman: Arkham Origins, which tells of a younger Batman; + Very intimate personal experience, the lack of focus on other heroes and villains. From this perspective, Batman: Arkham Asylum is like no other game lets you feel the Dark Knight; + The game contains many secrets, some of them were opened only after years. - Not the best quality voice ;; - Poor directing dialogues. In 2009 already had Mass Effect and Dragon Age: Origins; - Three optional roll in the end it's still weird. Recommended: anyone who wants to take a look at one of the generators of the genre of action games.
