Black The Fall is a game heavily inspired by Inside and at times it might even feel like a rip-off, since the graphics, art direction, gameplay, sound style, plot are nearly identical and it only starts to differentiate itself much later. Still, graphics and art style, along with soundtrack, are top notch in this game and soundtrack (which is around 60 minutes worth of music) is really nice addition to this collector's edition. You also get artbook in pdf, which is cool, but nothing breath taking, because everything you actually want to see is in this game. The only downsides of this game are difficulty spikes, because puzzles can get sometimes pretty hard and how incredibly similiar to Inside this is. It gets different later, but first impression stays with you through the whole game, which actually has decent length. Overall, if you loved Inside, you will also enjoy this game. If you didn't, you might still want to try it, because as a game it's good and not a tech demo like Inside was.
Black The Fall is an atmospheric side scroller and puzzle game where your silent protagonist attempts to escape from an oppressive government. The way the game is played and the art style can seem similar to titles like Inside but I found this game to have better puzzle design with less trial and error moments, there are moments of brighter backgrounds in certain areas, and while the game is played as a side scroller the environment can turn and shift as your character doesn't always walk on a straight left or right path. Frequent sections have you attempting to blend in with other people still being forced to work under those you are escaping from and certain moments have you taking advantage of them or leaving them behind in your attempt to escape. You might have to sneak by enemies, get on machines to act like you are working, make use of the environment to kill enemies, avoid lights that will detect you and lead to you getting shot, etc. It's not a long game but for the setting and fairly low price it is worth a look. The Collector?s Edition includes both the soundtrack as well as a PDF with images from the game's development. The soundtrack fits the game but isn't really something I imagine most people listening to by itself, if you like the art style and world of the game the PDF might interest you. It isn't much more so if you want to support the dev it might also be worth it to you.
