Amazing classic strategy game!

Commandos: behind enemy lines is the first installment of Commandos series, where you control until 6 different soldiers at a nazi camp, with the mission of sabotage their bases leaving all of your soldiers alive. Yeah, it's tough, really tough. Every solider has different abilities: one of them is the only one which can swim and dive underwater. Also, this guy is the only which can drive a boat. Another soldier is the only one which can fool your enemies costuming himself like a nazi general, so you can infiltrate the base without they shoot you. Also, this same guy can kill any enemy soldier with a lethal syringe which is the most silent method of killing enemies. However, be careful, if people see you killing enemy soldier, you'll be discovered by the enemy. Another soldier is the strongest and the only with can carry corpses of dead enemy soldiers and oil barrels to put at strategic places to explode edifications. Another soldier is a expert with explosives. Anyway, you got the idea. I find myself needing to kill everyone to complete a mission and, believe me, it took forever to do it. But it was nice. I recommend this game to anyone which enjoys strategic games

Almost impossibly hard

At first, i had a hunch, that this is one of those prank games, like cat mario. The nazis shoot your man so easily...well, actually, that part is pretty realistic, so yeah. What the game doesn't tell you, is if you lose even one man, you can1t complete the mission. That in itself is not a problem, what is, is this game is perfectly happy, to let you finish the mission with dead soldiers, and only then tell you that you lost. There are 20 missions, and all of them hard! Some of them slightly less so, but even those can surprise you. also, sometimes you get lucky, like really lucky. There was a few missions i actually wrapped up pretty fast, but when i played them again, it took me an hour, to get anywhere! Strangely, it works pretty fine on any machine or OS. Or, well...any windows. Weird how they managed to write it like that back then. Anyway, despite my frustrations with it, this is a great game, and i recommend it for anyone :)

One of the classics

Commandos is one of those games, that are old, yet they still run perfectly on any system, and even the graphics are not aged badly, or at all as it seems. I'm not kidding, I played it again last year, and unlike some AAA games, that looked hyper realistic at the time, and now you can't tell the difference between a man and a box, this game looks just as good as it did then. The difficulty can be maddening, mainly cause of the superb level design. You are always outnumbered, surrounded by enemies, and most of the time, outgunned. Your only edge, is that your enemies are stupid, and if you use your brain, and find a way to turn things to your advantage, then your six man team is enough to obliterate whole armies. Besides, there is no better feeling, then after sneaking through the whole level, barely escaping notice, to finally get your hands on the enemy's tank, and start blowing things up, while they try to deal with the nasty surprises you left for their reinforcements.

Damn harrd

Interesting and brutally real game, BEL is an excellent strategy game. With great game tutorial, you will learn fast how to ''jump over hurdles''. As the game progresses though, get ready for tough matchups cause this is one hack of a puzzler ! The game is diversive. You can solve the mission in many different wayz and that is Commando's best characteristic. A LOT OF CHOICES ..... Great game.
