Your number one suspect is Loath Nolder; a highly respected private investigator. After mysteriously abandoning his last case and abruptly resurfacing five years later, one wonders how venerated P.I. Loath Nolder has turned fugitive murder suspect. Your seemingly routine investigation takes a dramatic twist as terrifying happenings begin to plague your psyche. A horrifying and immersive experience, Needs a sequel badly!

Darkness Within 1 is a point and click psychological horror adventure game , you play in first person view and the character you play is a police officer investigating a murder of a rich man and you need to search for clues in the corridors of his manor , you realize that this is too complicated and you start hallucinating and you get haunting dreams , the game does a very excellent job in immersing you in the environment ,from the character's terrified breathing and panting to the foot steps and door cracklings around you it screams terror, you encounter a number of puzzles that you need to solve in order to advance and some of them can be really challenging , the graphics are decent and do the job and there's a nice attention to detail, a couple of problems that annoyed me about it is that you don't actually use the keyboard to move around, but you need to click on the direction your going to move , like going forward in a corridor, which is okay in an adventure game but this is in first person so it takes away from the immersion, one more thing is the corridors, the doors look alike and it gets frustrating knowing where you were last time and finding the right room that you need to go back to, the music is very nice and creepy does a great job setting the mood for the game, it is a pretty fun take on adventure games because this was my first horror point and click game.
