David is one of those really challenging games out there, you need to play the game over and over again. David tends be fun and maybe a little frustrating at first but you'll get used to it. What made me buy this game was the fact that it was so simple and vibrant, i simply couldn't resist a wonderful game. overall it's a great game, nothing better than a challenging game once in a while.
I like this game, the mechanics are original but simple, the puzzles are challenging, and the fights are tough. The sound track to the game is fitting, not incredible, but it works. Overall I liked the game and enjoyed the puzzles, but the fights can get a little daunting. I think the difficulty level of this game could limit the consumer pool. But for 2$, this game is definitely worth a shot. Pros. - Unique consept. - Good smooth controls. - Solid puzzles. Plenty of content. - Has steam trading cards. - Price tag Cons. - Difficult. Possibly frustrating at times. - No steam achievements (for a game this tough, you'd like to have achievements to show how far you got)
David is an Indie strategy game in which you have puzzles and challenging fights to accomplish through the game. The game has a really unique art style, making its visual very nice, it is simple, so the graphics are not the besT. The soundtrack is what let me down, since it could have been better, more intense. The gameplay is great, very user friendly. Overall it is a great game, so this is why I recommend it to everybody, mainly to those who enjoy playing angry birds, for its similar gameplay!
David comes at a time in gaming where complexity is what people are looking for. Complex puzzles, multiple-branching plotlines, and realistic "human" encounters... these are what most games aim for, or try to fill their games with. David proves though that simplicity still has a place in this world. David works with minimalistic visuals and mechanics, allowing the story and gameplay to speak for the game. The comparison to Limbo and Shadow of the Colossus is warranted. Those games have minimalistic storytelling and allows gameplay (and in effect, the journey of the player) to take center stage. With engaging puzzles and challenging fights, this is really and excellent game.
