Deadbeat Heroes is a brawler set in London in the 70's, centered around the theme of Super Heroes vs Villains. One of its great strengths is its presentation, which elevates the theme of heroes with simple visuals reminiscent of comics, especially by the cel-shading used and the smooth textures, as well as by the animations of movement of the characters. Its gameplay is very free, with few buttons to be used, but very responsive and with great flow. You'll have access to a new super powers in each stage, by defeating a villain and picking up the power-up he drops. Freezing ray, invisibility, explosion are some of these powers, and with each chapter, new powers are introduced as well. Despite newcomer friendly combat and relatively easy game start, the main difficulty of the game is in the character's small bar of life, which can be defeated with 3 strikes. The game has a very traumatic defeat system as well: by being defeated, you will sometimes have to redo phases to have the rank needed to face the boss. At first you only have one character, that is, one life, but as you go through the chapters, you will release additional characters, which will serve as extra lives for retries before failing. There is a very barren 2-player local cooperative aspect to the game too. If you do not have extra characters, the second player will control the "Super Hero" boss, who can die without repercussions in the phase. While not the most perfect or even polished game of this type out there, Deadbeat Heroes makes a compelling and engaging representative of the genre.
Deadbeat Heroes is and action beat'em up retro style game with great ideas and unique visuals and environmental designs well suited for its atmosphere. actually the main idea of the game reminded me of a character in HEROES TV show which his super power was the ability to borrow other people's super powers and use them at his disposal and it was kind cool and most overpowered one too! so this is exactly what your character does in Deadbeat Heroes and you need to know about others powers well enough to decide which one you should steal, depends on your situation which makes it really challenging and fun! So if you're a fan of fast paced action brawler games with great gameplay and comic style designs, Deadbeat Heroes can be an enjoyable and very fun experience for you!
