This is a well balanced pack of 3 games that offer good variety of gameplay and mechanics, but with different quality leading to mixed results: - QuestRun is sort of like a roguelike. You roll a random party of 3 seperate classes through different dungeons and challenges--What few there are will take a few tries to beat since the game doesn't go easy on you. The game is simple in that you reposition lanes, activate character spells, switch stances (which can buff the unit or even team at a personal stat cost) and use items as you knock out wave after wave of baddies. Characters level up in these runs and you up their stats and try to finish the dungeon. Is it a good game? Sure. Not for the base price, though. Get it from this bundle for a nice casual time waster. - Paranautical Activity was obviously intended to be some mixture of a 3D Binding of Isaac clone with Painkiller, and for the most part it succeeds in that. Player movement is fast and fluid, there's an interesting variety of weapons, and it offers a nice challenge and degree of skill-based gameplay. It lacks enough enemy and room randomization to have huge staying power as a roguelike, but what content there is definitely justifies the sale or bundle price if you're into the roguelike FPS subgenre. It's not as good as Ziggurat but better than heavy bullets. Voxel graphics look decent, soundtrack is pretty crappy but easy to ignore or mute, I haven't encountered any major bugs, overall I'm pretty pleased with it. Paranautical Activity may not be a great indie game, but it's a solid one, and for the reasonable price of admission I think that's enough. - Vertical Drop Heroes HD is a fun platforming roguelike game. The goal is to progress to the bottom of the level and defeat a boss to continue progressing. In these levels you may find traits that you can purchase for future characters to use, mini-quests that involve finding objects on the same level, coins, and other heros who will fight enemies too. There are also pacifist orbs which grant coins and exp, but you must not fight enemies. If you do fight an enemy then the orbs will vanish from the level. Dying will cause you to restart level progress, but you get to keep the coins you found during your adventures. You'll be sent back to the main hub where you can use these coins to permentally boost your attack damage or health. Similar to Rogue Legacy. Overall a lot of great fun.
