DRUNKEN APES 🐒
HORROR OF THE DEEP could have a potential but I really struggle with these controls, there is a latency on movements looks like a bad import of a console version on pc. In addition to being stuck in the scenery in random moments. Running away is a very important element of every horror game so let me just the opportunity to flee properly. For now, I don't recommend the game, at least until they fix the mechanics.
As mentioned in a previous review of mine, horror games seem to be a trend nowadays. However, that doesn't mean that all horror games are bad, and Horror of the Deep is a shining example of that. Ending up in a dark dungeon, you - the player- must escape. It sounds easy, but you'll have to navigate mazes, solve puzzles, and evade bloodthirsty creatures to find your way out. This game does a fantastic job at setting the scene will its dark pallet of colours and eerie sounds. The red colours also create a sense of danger that'll constantly make you feel on edge. The puzzle elements of the game are engaging, with certain items ending up in different places. To top it off, its only in early access, so there's more to come. Go ahead, treat yourself to this game.
