Insecticide left an ok first impression. It had an interesting premise, but sadly there will never be a Part 2. Insecticide, if nothing else, is a very stylish game. The art is very reminiscent of Psychonauts and the setting is a what would essentially be a modern day film-noire crime thriller in a city full of sentient insects. There is nothing quite like it. The gameplay of Insecticide consists of platforming with some shooting from a third-person perspective. You run around, hopping platforms and shooting enemies, all while listening to characters repeat lines that are range from groan-worthy to somewhat clever, at least the first time you hear them. It is a shame that there isn't a part two, because Insecticide: Part One does enough right to get me invested and interested.
