Enjoyable shooter with way too many unskipable cutscenes.

The story is well done although sometimes it felt like I was watching a movie because of how many cut scenes this game has. I enjoyed the combat and had fun with the slow motion effects but the harder difficulties can be a real challenge. Max Payne 3 like many other games has a cover system but because of the sometimes slow animation it can lead to your death. Your health doesn't automatically regenerate so if you need to heal you have to use painkillers which are found throughout the level. The game looks really good and the character models look amazing. There is multiplayer but don't expect a lot of players. Overall its a fun game and I recommend it.

Max Payne 3

Max Payne 3 is a good follow-up for the Max Payne series. Feels like a movie at a lot of times, because the cutscenes are well made, last longer, and the whole thing goes smoothly as you follow the events, one after another. It's a solid shooter game, quite enjoyable, and if you played GTA V, you will know that the shooting mechanics are quite similar, if not, the same ones. Anyway, the campaign is good, lasts about 10 hours. There is also the Arcade Mode which has it's own way around it. Good one to do some challenges. The Multiplayer is not very very active like it used to be in all modes, but you can still play. I don't own the DLC's, but I guess the Season Pass could be the best option for that. I think that "Deathmatch Made In Heaven Pack" DLC is the best one and it offers CO OP too, but I might be wrong about which is better and all that. Generally as a game, it's a 'yes' at a sale, but opinions are plenty. Mine is: You like the two, old Max Payne games and you want more? Grab the game. In case you don't wanna risk it, because it might not be everyone's cup of tea, I'd say to look first at Youtube for some gameplay action and then think about it. Nonetheless, Max Payne delivers a good story, a good action time, lots of shooting. Minus: 1) Multiplayer is active, but not so much for every mode available. 2) Required to install Rockstar Games Social Club (Just my opinion about it) 3) Campaign is about 10 hours (I have a certain opinion about lengths of campaigns).

Very good storytelling and game mechanics

Max Payne 3 was extremely diverse in its gunplay, and the mechanics of bullet-time was very enjoyable in both multiplayer and single player. The game is a bit dead nowadays multiplayer wise, but the single player will still be a great and wonderful experience.

Very well done

Loved the shooting, loved the comments, loved the game. Right from the start, I decided to play this game on Hard Mode (I believe there is a harder mode after that one). And this game was hard. You can't stay out of cover and expect to stay alive like in other games. You really need to take cover and shoot at enemies while making sure you are not flanked. The story is good. Crude and strong, like it should be. Don't expect a James-Bond-ish story, this is no fairy tale. I loved that every time you picked health packs, Max would have a different comment depending on where you were playing. The graphics were awesome and I loved the cut-scenes with all the words showing on screen. A very nice game which is definitely worth playing.

A worthy action game that EVERYONE should play..

Max Payne 3 is one of the most heavily action package third person shooter in the market right now.. you won't find anything like this! Is a proper evolution of the previous 2 max payne, and no, you do not need to play the previous ones (though you should) for understand the history. It has a great transition between the cut-scenes to actual gameplay without any loading screen in between. The history is solid, and tho it has a very good length, you will wish it was even longer.. thankfully after you done with the history mode, you will have the very AWESOME MULTIPLAYER (yes, MP IS GOOD) Lastly say that graphics are at very high quality even for to day standards. The only ugly thing about it.. is that you need to use rockstar social club account, which you will need to log in every time you enter to the game (tho it has an automatic log in) but still annoys a bit that you will need to create an account there in order to start the game (is not a perfect score just because of that and wasted like half an hour figuring out where to put the season pass key lol) ps. you will often find this at discounted price, here and at steam... so there's really not excuse for YOU not to get this game.
