Game description

“Punch Club is yet another example of how small teams that focus on gameplay that's engaging can offer interesting long-term experiences” - 7.5/10 – SoftPedia

“Utterly Fantastic” - 9/10 – Hardcore Gamer

Your father was brutally murdered before your eyes. Now you must train hard, eat chicken and punch dudes in the face to earn your place in the Punch Club ranks, and discover who ended your father's life.

Punch Club is a boxing tycoon management game with multiple branching story lines. Your goal is clear, but how you get there depends on whether you want to legitimately climb the rankings, or take the more ridiculous, shady route.

Along the way you'll want to focus your talents. Will you take the Way of the Tiger, the Way of the Turtle, or the Way of the [other one?]? Your strength, accuracy and agility all depends on whichever Way enlightens your path. Do you have stripes, or flippers?

And every decision will matter, especially in your social life. You'll be juggling friendships, love life, work, recreational time, relationships, and possible stardom, all alongside your gym time and fighting aligators. It's not all just pumping iron, you know.

Key Features:

  • Fighter management sim with RPG and tycoon elements

  • Find out who killed your father, and maybe learn something about yourself along the way

  • Heavily story-driven, with multiple different narrative branches and game endings to discover

  • Get as deep with stats as you like, and find your own way through extensive skill trees

  • Gorgeous pixel visuals with 80-90s references and nostalgia all over the place

Well worth it

ShadowzOfPower

While it's not the most complicated game in the world. It's a very entertaining game that keeps you going for quite a bit. The multiple references hits us right in the heart and the story keeps us going. Multiple story paths and multiple fighting styles gives the game replay value.

Old but gold

Punch Club has a nice style and gameplay. You play as a fighter who has to train and win different fights, but it?s not so easy. There are many distractions outside: bandits, work, tasks. The gameplay is various, you can enjoy many little missions while reaching your main goal. RPG elements make this game playable for hours also. The story seems to be a bit clumsy, but there are many references to movies and other good episodes, so it?s well made. During fights you can?t actually do something, the hero fights regarding skills he?s earned. That makes game more realistic. Train more, make him learn new tricks, and you will see the result of your work. However, Hardcore mode makes game more complicated. Even if you train hard, you?re still losing skills every day. But it doesn?t make the game less enjoyable. Retro style of design and music only gives special taste. Buy this game and you won?t regret.

Worth it!

stiggle

This game is pure genius. If you are an old school gamer, can't get enough of the retro 90s games. AND you love rocky or Bloodsport. This game will have you feeling feels you never knew you had. You might of heard a few of these points already. The cameos in this game are pure gold. You'll enjoy every second of it. There are a few bummers :( (I know) "But, Stigg! you made this sound so delicious." Well, there are going to be a few raisins. (Unless you like raisins, then go forth and buy this game.) Now, bite the pillow this is going to suck more than a wet Hoover vacuum. Training in this game gets old fast. And maintaining your hard earned stats is a hassle at times. Especially when you just level up! There a few more flaws, but I can't think of anymore at the moment. (Sorry!!) Punch club itself is a great game, through and through. $9.99 isn't bad either. Think of it this way. You are on a horrible blind date, they have legendary arm pit funk, with the sweat stains to match. To top it off they forgot to brush their teeth that day, and have something growing in between their teeth. ((I am speaking from experience. That date hurt.) Unlike that date that cost me like 12 bucks. You could say home for the night with Punch club, it has pizza! For just 9.99!!

A very entertaining game

CutterEye

The first rule of Punch Club is do not talk about Punch Club. But seriously, this game is a little mix of tycoon and a fighting RPG. Music and retro style pixel graphics hardly reference to the 90's, so if you love movies from those years like Rocky or Bloodsport you gonna love this title, because the strongest point of this title is a power of nostalgia. But cons let's see.. Training is really boring, and you should have more content, after all this game fits better in tablet or phone than PC.
