Recursion Deluxe is a 2D puzzle platforming game done in a 16-bit style. A series of panels are used to tell the game's story before the levels begin. For $5 you get a good variety of stages and you can get more through the games level editor. The gameplay has you attempting to reach a flag in each level to move onto the next, collecting all of the stars and doing it in the shortest time are also options. One of the main mechanics of the game is that the screen wraps around, if you walk out the right side of the screen you will show up on the left, falling off a cliff will drop you down from the top of the screen. As you play new mechanics are introduced, enemies are added, disappearing blocks, bubbles to bounce across, hazards to fall into, The game controls well and the music is ok, though it can become repetitive. A good game for a cheap price.
