Game description

The world has been abandoned by its gods and is scarred from the rampage of the Titans. Humanity is struggling to regain strength and rally its forces. You, however, have more pressing concerns: your own life has been shattered and you must set off to reclaim what is lost amidst the darkness that is spreading throughout the world. Who knows, maybe you'll even save the world at the same time?

Three threads of destiny lie before you. Three ways to rise up against the Titans and regain your soul. Which path to take? The choice is yours.

This edition includes all available DLC!

Key Features:

  • Freedom: Freely explore and take on quests at your leisure. Quests will have different ways to tackle them and different outcomes. You can play different parts of the game in whatever order you wish and shape your character individually.

  • Exploration: Discover quests and characters as you make your way through the diverse world of Risen 3 - Titan Lords. From quaint medieval-style towns to delving deep into the dank dark of mines, to the supernatural shadow world, there is a wealth of possibilities waiting to be explored. You will be able to traverse this world in a variety of ways, from swimming to climbing.

  • Enhanced combat: Featuring a revamped fighting system, with new animation systems in place that add nuance to the fights.

  • Magic is back! Crystal magic has returned, bringing with it devastating new combat abilities. Wield elements such as lightning, fire and ice to obliterate your foes, or make use of a multitude of additional magical skills to aid you in exploration - the choice is yours!

  • Guilds & factions: Choose to ally yourself with one of three distinct guilds, each offering unique skills, armouries and quests allowing you to approach your quest in very different ways. Discover additional factions that exist to bend the balance of political power in the world, each with their own agenda for you to uncover. Be careful which characters you trust – some might ally with you with the intent of fulfilling their own sinister plans.

The third game of the series is great, yet is has its downfalls.

The third installment of the Risen series is a huger game than the second one. It has more land to be explored, more islands and, noticeably. more beautiful graphics. You are the unnamed hero who must fight back to save your own soul from the evil titan lord Nemeroth. You're separated from your own soul and with help along the way you can gain advantage over your enemies. There are the same islands as in the previous game, but they seem to be more gorgeous than before. You have all the ingredients for a great RPG (upgrades, loot, food to be cooked or to be eaten raw, magical items, runes, spells). You have also the classical enemies( the skeletons, huge monsters, deformed birds, ostrich-like and so on). You have to choose between three classes along the way: demon hunters, mages and the Inquisition. I chose mages and I must say I feel sorry. I've done so many quests (almost 260 or so) and I still can't beat the final boss. Fortunately I have bough Fog Island DLC and I can improve my skills and I hope that in the end I shall defeat him. The story is not so interesting as the previous one in the previous game. You get to meet old friends from the previous Risen game. Boss battles are sometimes a nuisance (you feel surrounded by spawning enemies), Fighting melee can be tedious at times (roll and strike) and the guns don't always seem satisfactory.Quests can be tedious sometimes and some are indeed meaningless. For your entertainment one should use a controller.

Regardless of its shortcomings it's a very amusing adventure

Risen 3 is one of these underrated RPGs that require more attention , whilst it is not the well executed and falls short in many ways ,I still enjoyed every minute of it when I wasn't raging, the sense of adventure is what keeps you compelled, there are many things that you can do here like joining factions, training monkeys to steal for you and recruit companions for special buffs in combat, the majority of the locations are from risen 2 but they've been refreshed and remastered and they don't look all that familiar which makes it somewhat okay that this isn't a DLC, voice acting is okay for the most part but sometimes it's really bad and annoying , the writing is good and hilarious at times, close quarters combat starts really annoying at the beginning like the first 2 games but it gets better ones you spend more skill points on them , leveling system is very solid and rewards your choices generously. the Graphics are one of the highlights in this game and the environments look absolutely amazing under the light effects this game has, the characters and animations however are awkward in movement and looks, if you've played the past 2 games or one of them this one is also worth trying.
