More of the same

The second game is pretty good as well, but that's not a surprise, because it's essentially the same game. There are a lot more attractions this time, and many new scenerios, which you can finally edit, and make your own, so if you liked the first game, this one has a chance to suck you in for even longer. The graphics are still adorable. I could never get bored with the mascots! The music still rings in my ear, and for some reason i love it when it rains in the park. Maybe, partly because then they will all take out their umbrellas, and i can see a sea of dolalr signs XD Anyway, great game, couldn't recommend more.

A sequel that feels more like an expansion.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 plays exactly like the first game but it has a lot more content. You manage a theme park and are meant to build rides, paths, scenery and a bunch of different stalls that sell various things like balloons or hats. This game includes pre-made ride designs if building your own rollercoaster isn't your thing and you're able to customize rides by painting them different colors or by adding themes and music to them. If you complete every map and still want more then don't worry because this game has a built in level editor that allows you to create your own scenario. You'll be able to choose the available rides, stalls, themes, starting money and win condition. The only negative thing I noticed about RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 is that it doesn't have a windowed mode option. I'm not sure how that happened because the first game has it.

Classic.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 is the best in the series in my opinion, enough content and no low-quality 3D graphics. This is a fully 2D game with isometric view and would run on ANY computer for sure. Music is good (kinda okay-ish once you hear every track around 20 times). Very relaxing and fun tycoon game (you can also play sandbox and go wild with limit-less money.

Just as fun as the original

I loved Roller Coaster Tycoon as a kid and would always make the most extreme roller coasters I could and when that started to get old, which it rarely did, I'd just try to think up the most elaborate ways to kill the guests instead, which proved to be even more fun. This is a lot like the first one, but improved graphics and design. If you're a fan of the first one, I'd definitely pick this up.

A Favorite of Mine

RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 was the first simulation game I ever played. It was (and still is) so fun to play, to be able to make your own awesome theme park that was only limited by what your mind could create. I would create massive parks that would rival Disney World and I would build huge roller coasters that would destroy world records. A big component of RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 is making sure everyone in your park or that comes to your park is happy. Making sure the park costs the correct amount for what it has is part of that. Having your park clean and well-employed is another part. One thing this game has good simulation. It may not really deep, but it definitely gets the job done. So should you buy Rollercoaster Tycoon 2? YES! It's cheap and a truly awesome game.
