Sribblenauts Unsmasked is another puzzle (and kind of a adventure) game about a boy which has a strange and powerful weapon: a notebook, and use it to help super heroes (and common citizens) in a dc comics world. This game already featured at the Nintendo portables and now it's finally into PC. The premisse is the same: you control Maxwel, a boy which can, through his mighty notebook, to create and to summon almost any kind of object or living thing and modify them at his own accord. You use this unique ability to change the world around him and help out people (or, sometimes, screw them, lol). For example: you can help a sad man, putting an adjective at him, saying he is happy and he'll be happy instead of sad. You can also help a guard kill a bunch of invader at his castle. Or you can create two creatures and make them fight for own amusement (naughty boy, lol!). Also, the main story revolves around a being similar to you, which is helping the bad guys and you'll join Superman, Batman and another DC heroes to thwart their plan! It's an amazing concept! Anyway this game is amazing. The only "bad" thing about this game is a lot of cases which you don't know what to do and need to do "try and error" to discover which thing you do to complete your quest. But I recommend this game to anyone which enjoys this type of game. :)
I've played this game for a few hours, most of it spent on customising my avatar. It is really fun and lots of quirky characters to choose from. I was surprised at just how much customisation you can put in it. The actual gameplay is really fun too. It has a nice tutorial level where you can pick up the controls pretty quick. You need to complete mini missions which follow a storyline which is fun to follow along. However, sometimes it's hard to know what exactly you have to do to get further into the game. I was stuck pretty early into it but managed to get by with a bit of kerfuddle. I would recommend this game if you love the DC world and enjoy a bit of guess work.
This game really exercises your imagination. When you approach a problem, there are many ways to accomplish your goals. You could add the adjective 'weak' to a bad guy, or spawn a powerful weapon to use. Its amazing how many objects, adjectives, and DC characters are packed into this game. I like comics a lot and have been reading for years, yet every now and then there will be a character that stumps me. Thankfully, all the information about that character is the game's database, the Batcomputer. At the Batcomputer, you can create your own heroes, weapons, vehicles, etc. to use throughout the game. I hit up the Steam Workshop to get other people's creations. On the Workshop, you can find characters from every area of pop culture, Spider-man, The Doctor, Link, He-man, etc. This game has forced me to be creative with the objects I spawn to solve a situation. It takes away points if you use the same object, and rewards creativity. Absolutely mind-blowing.
Scribblenauts Unmasked is the latest game in the franchise. It is an awesome game, no matter how old you are, you can have tons of fun with it. The chance of fool around with your favorite DC characters that this game provides is priceless. If you are a fan of this saga, this game is a MUST have. But if you are not familiarized with the Scribblenauts games it is an excellent game to start becoming a fan. If you enjoy reading comics, have fun with superhero stories or simply love to set your imagination to work, to see your ideas fly away from your head, you should definitely give this game a try. Also this game comes with multiple language support. So, you don’t have to be afraid if English isn’t your first language (like my case), cause you will play it in the most naturally way possible.
It's very entertaining, and every DC Comics' fan will love it. Think of any superhero or villain and *BAM!* it's right in front of you. It'll help you spend some enjoyable time, but it tends to get a bit boring – at least for me; consider I'm not a big fan of DC Comics. If you really enjoy DC Comics' content, you should give this game a try.
