Son of Nor is a third person game where you play as a character with magical abilities. The game starts off promising enough with an opening telling how humanity is on the verge of extinction thanks to the efforts of a lizard like race with the power of magic. The story unfortunately fails to go anywhere interesting once the game starts, with dull events, uninteresting characters, and poor voice acting performances. You are able to make use of different powers such as telekinesis and terraforming, abilities that sound fun but mostly end up being boring as you use them to fight against enemies with very poor AI and it mostly just involves you throwing things at them, raising sand beneath them to bury them, or raising sand below you to get away from their attacks. There are puzzles that help to change up the gameplay but they are typically easy and uninteresting. The atmosphere is also bland as every area is either in the desert or a similar looking dungeon. The game has some ideas that could have been fun to explore but it just didn't pay off.
