Game description

The raw, high-stakes world of illegal street racing comes to life in Street Racing Syndicate. Trick out over 40 authentic licensed cars with parts from over 15 real-world manufacturers, then turn your customized ride loose on the streets of 3 cities across the USA. Lay it all on the line - your wallet, your woman, your pride and your wheels. For the first time ever, throw down with opponents around the world via online pink slip races. With masses of perfectly tuned, nitrous-stoked horses under the hood, the only thing between you and victory is the distance from the pedal to the floor.

Key Features:

  • Street Racing Syndicate is one of the most realistic street racers ever to grace PC. Modify over 40 authentic licensed cars - including the signature Nissan Skyline - with aftermarket parts from over 15 licensed manufacturers. Cherry your ride with a variety of real-world decals and graphic upgrades.

  • Burn the competition to win cash, street cred or better yet, your opponent’s wheels. Earn the affections of 18 real-life models from the world of import racing

  • Blow a turn or bump a fellow racer and incur damage in real time. Pay for repairs with your hard earned cash.

  • Mix it up across Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Miami in both closed-circuit and perilous open-city races. Know your side streets and prepare to shake the cops at any moment.

  • Up the ante even more by competing in online pink slip races, a first for street racing titles.

Worthy successor of classic EA title.

Street Racing Syndicate brings back good memories. Immediately after the first race I felt familiar, it reminded me of Need For Speed Underground, game of my childhood. But instead of the original title we get street racing at night and during the day. It also offers tuning cars: body, masks, spoilers, engine, nitro, business stickers, etc. so very similar to EA legendary title. The degree of difficulty grows with every race won, so there is no point of getting used to one particular car as you will have to switch them regularly. If you remember how good NFS:U was give this one a try.

Poor mans Big Rigs, over the road racing.

Man...this game...where should I even begin? The main challenge of this game is figuring out which key is the nitro. Once you got that, your opponents might as well race on foot, because they will never ever be as fast as you, even if you finish drinking a cup of hot chocolate after the start, and then crash into every single wall on the track. Really, this game is too easy for me. Me! The guy, brings terror to the hearts of all his teammates in battlefield, if he gets behind a wheel. The graphics aren't too good either. Most of the maps are dark, and that is actually better this way. Also, there's no multiplayer. why is that is beyond me. It would save this game easily. So yeah, not a fan.

Poor's man NFS: Underground.

Even thought Street Racing Syndicate was out 2 years later than NFS: Underground, it's still much worse game. Why I'm comparing these two titles? Because both of them are about illegal street racing. I'm sure many people remember how great NFS: Underground was and I think Street Racing Syndicate wanted to be something similar. Sadly, it isn't. Devs had some great ideas but it wasn't made well. Cars, music and girls are nice. The only thing it's missing is any difficulty levels - this game is so easy that sometimes I think it was only made for people which enjoy looking at cars and girls, nothing more. Still, there aren't many games like that nowadays. If you don't own NFS: Underground, or any other racing game with theme like SRS, get it.

Pretty Standard Racing Through and Through

I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would, but it wasn't a bad game. I just thought that the racing genre of games had done some pretty cool things, and this one didn't wow me. And it was too bad, because I wanted this game to wow me. Maybe my standards are too high, but it just didn't do it so much for me. You can try it out if you want, and maybe you'll have more luck with it than I did.
