TrackMania Turbo is a good racing game but people who played previous part of this well know Ubisoft series may feel disappointed. While the game is still fast, fluid and fun the online element's are lacking, there are no dedicated servers and mod support, overall it's good but it would benefit if the game would get better online support.
What do you do in this game? For me, I raced on a track that just had spirals and then my car flew into the air and entered into the same track. This game is just fun! The visuals look great and the multiplayer even better! Honestly what makes this game one of the best games out there is the ability to make your own track. I love playing on other people's wacky or well-made tracks. It really changes the pace of the game from serious racing to crazy physics at work. I highly recommend trackmania to anyone looking for a new take on the racing genre!
TrackMania will always hold a special place in my heart, literally being the game that got me into PC gaming. Ever since the original game, TrackMania nations, I've absolutely loved the series, and always grab the newest installments to see what kind of insane tracks I'll be able to create. Right off launch, this game has received, what I believe to be, extremely undeserved hate. The game is actually incredibly fun, and offer many great custom tracks to build, beautiful graphics, and pretty decent multiplayer (that's probably where the hate comes in). The game offers all new ways to play, and actually introduces them in a really great way that makes you want to try them all out. The track making is right up there, if not better, than other Trackmania editing, it's something they've always done really well, and I hope they always will. The gameplay is smooth and very fast paced, as it IS a racing game. The graphics are outstanding, TrackMania has always had great graphics, but Turbo really turned that up to show off how pretty they can make their game. This IS a console port game, which makes me sad, that's where all the undeserving hate really comes from, but in all honesty, the game is still fantastic and I would definitely recommend it for any TrackMania fans, or any racing fans in general.
