"Giant Mechs And Dropkicking Spaceships In War Tech Fighters" - thesixthaxis.com
Travelling across the galaxy, the rebel colonies of Hebos and Ares join forces to battle against the Zatros Empire with the deadliest weapons ever built – War Techs. Taking space combat to a whole new level, War Techs are giant mechs that combine cold precision and state of the art technology to the battlefields of space.
War Tech Fighters is a space mech action game that combines the spectacular action of Japanese Anime with Hollywood Blockbusters. Configure, upgrade and customize your War Tech and dive into battle to fight back the Zatronian forces and save your galaxy.
Key Features in Early Access:
You are basically getting immersed into a classic mech-based anime, with references to the most iconic exponents of the genre, from Gundam to Pacific Rim. Getting into a really hard fight and managing to slip in a couple of executions feels both extremely satisfying and super cool. Hacking sections are maybe a bit easy but having to find more than one panel to hack while being swarmed by enemies can be quite the challenge. Customization level is just amazing, except for the predefined tech physical structures that rely on the components you are currently using rather than just being cosmetics, you can really end up with a huge number of combinations, and with the selectable colors it's really hard to find something that doesn't quite look good. (For me the best combination remains black + bright green with hexagon detail pattern). To sum everything up: This game is absolutely astounding, considering it was made by a team of two people. Gameplay is satisfying, challenging and fun. Big robots. In space. With guns. And swords. Show 'em some love and treat yourself with a small pearl in a sea of mediocre games.

I do not write many reviews, but the game here deserves one. First: War Tech Fighters does not achieve AAA quality. By far not. The graphics are at best nice, the (English) translation is disappointingly incompetent and the story is ... well, there is at least one. In essence, on the whole this is a simple space shooter. We get into our huge battle robot and let go of the fire button again when everything between us and the respective mission goal is processed to glowing space scrap. Why do I recommend this game Because it's damn fun! You can easily tell the game with heart by the fans for the fans (of giant robots). Especially the numerous finishing moves are well animated for an indie game and (please forgive the technical jargon) just damn cool! How often do you get an enemy hunter to pick and crush like a tin can?
War Tech Fighters is a combination of old PlayStation classic called Omega Boost it terms of gameplay and Armored Core when it comes to customization. I found this Mech tuning very addictive and bringing a lot of joy as all the parts have different stats and visuals. I highly recommend this one for all the players who remember previously mentioned titles.
