X-COM: Earth's top-secret eXtraterrestrial COMbat unit
The Place: America - early 21st century
The Mission: Eradicate the extraterrestrials
Alien forces have invaded Earth and are terrorizing the population. To combat this sinister threat, a lone X-COM scientist has created the Enforcer, a high-tech fighting machine made of earthly robotics and scavenged alien technology.
Armed with the latest high-powered weapons, the Enforcer is sent into alien hot spots to fight in adrenaline-charged battles that rage on city streets, across rooftops and in the sewers. YOU are the Enforcer.
Powered by the same game engine as Unreal Tournament™, X-COM ENFORCER™ puts you on the front line of an alien attack.
This game is yet another obligatory victim of transition from 2D/sprite to 3D and completely out of the left field idea for a sequel. First of all, this game has nothing to do with previous Xcom games at all, because it is not strategy game, it's straight third person shooter with no strategy involved and only thing connecting this game to Xcom, other than name, are the aliens. If only this game would have a different title, then it would be forgotten, mediocre game nobody cared about back in the day and maybe nowadays re-discovered as a lost underappreciated game, because there is some good in it, like the graphics, fluid action packed gameplay with fun bosses, some funny lines/easter eggs and around 40 levels to play and kill hundreds of aliens through. But sadly, it isn't. Overall, it's nice little game to play, although nowadays it may feel short (around 4-5 hours), but you must have right mindset for it and just don't expect Xcom gameplay from it. Recommended if you like action games, since it is not that bad.
