"Assassin's Creed is a beautiful, exciting experience that will stay with you long after you finish it." - GameSpot
"_ offers a unique mix of action and exploration that deserves to be experienced._" - IGN
Assassin’s Creed is the next-gen game developed by Ubisoft Montreal that will redefine the action genre. While other games claim to be next-gen with impressive graphics and physics, Assassin’s Creed merges technology, game design, theme, and emotions into a world where you instigate chaos and become a vulnerable, yet powerful, agent of change.
The setting is 1191 AD. The Third Crusade is tearing the Holy Land apart. You, Altair, intend to stop the hostilities by suppressing both sides of the conflict.
You are an Assassin, a warrior shrouded in secrecy and feared for your ruthlessness. Your actions can throw your immediate environment into chaos, and your existence will shape events during this pivotal moment in history.
Realistic and responsive environments: Experience a living, breathing world in which all your actions have consequences. Crowds react to your moves and will either help or hinder you on your quests.
Action with a new dimension – total freedom: Eliminate your targets wherever, whenever, and however. Stalk your prey through richly detailed, historically accurate, open-ended environments. Scale buildings, mount horses, blend in with crowds. Do whatever it takes to achieve your objectives.
Relive the epic times of the Crusades: Assassin’s Creed immerses you in the realistic and historical Holy Land of the 12th century, featuring life-like graphics, ambience, and the subtle, yet detailed nuances of a living world.
Intense action rooted in reality: Experience heavy action blended with fluid and precise animations. Use a wide range of medieval weapons, and face your enemies in realistic swordfight duels.
Next-gen gameplay: The proprietary engine developed from the ground up for the next-gen console allows organic game design featuring open gameplay, intuitive control scheme, realistic interaction with environment, and a fluid, yet sharp, combat mechanic.

Assassin's Creed is undoubtedly one of the greatest franchises in the games history and it all began with innovative and creative Assassin's Creed , the first title in series which when it was announced become one of the most anticipated games of 2008, and it really fulfilled many promises it gave us! If you play the game now you may even call it a not really good AC game but back then when there was no AC game before, this game was a revolutionary one and it really was super amazing, So if you are a fan of the series which had not played the first game of AC franchise yet, I definitely suggest that you get the game and see for yourself where it all began! I'm sure this is going to be a unique experience for you even after almost 10 years!
Because I use the words "The beginning of something big" title of this review, because this is the complete description of this game, the game is the beginning of an immense community that meets for the love of this game "Assasins creed" where you get into the skin of a murderer, many of the games in this saga changed me one by one, but the first is always the first and nobody is going to remove that title. in principle was a game with many errors, but thanks to the effort of the developers it became what is today the best Adventure game in history.
Being an spiritual successor of Prince of Persia, Ubisoft left to die the idea of the prince to gave the assassins their own video game, and today, a successful franchise. Assassin's Creed is an interesting idea, as it is settle in the ancient story of the templars and the crusade, and how it combine history with the Assassin's Creed lore is amazing. Yet still, the game is full of bugs and constant crashes. The gameplay it's good but can repetitive, the same goes for the combat. Recommended.
The first Assassins's Creed game is quite a chore to finish. The game isn't bad, per se, but it is highly repetitive and has a number of annoyances. This first AC game essentially has you repeat the same mission 8 times: go to location X, murder target Y, escape. This game may have been a pathfinder for the series, but there is just so little variety that it isn't fun to finish. Fortunately Ubisoft fixed most of the problems in this game when they released AC2, so go ahead and skip this game to play AC2 instead.
I still remember when they first announced this game and showed the hood mechanic (which came from first "build" of Splinter Cell: Conviction - after announcement of AC, it got dropped into development hell). I was pumped, because trailer gave the idea of great mix of stealth game and action adventure. And while it is action adventure and running and jumping is fun, there is sadly barely any stealth in this game. The biggest handicap of this game are "activities", which you must do to start the mission and because of that the game becomes repetitive quite fast. Also, Desmond parts are worthless and useless padding and the ending is one of the worst offenders in gaming. While graphics are nice and soundtrack amazing (it got composed by excellent Jesper Kyd, of Hitman series fame), repetitiveness kills this game. If you want to know how franchise started, then pick it up on sale, but thankfully it is not mandatory to play it, because Assassin's Creed 2 does everything better and fills you in on everything.
