In South Park: The Fractured But Whole character customisation has been taken to a whole new level. It has been given quite an upgrade by building on what The Stick Of Truth produced.
In true RPG fashion you will have a character sheet that you will be filling out as you play through The Fractured But Whole. This sheet is your one stop shop for your character and features things like your traits, customisation options and stats.
The Fractured But Whole has a whole bunch of classes for players to choose from, all of which are borrowing from popular comic franchises such as DC and Marvel. Whatever class you choose will effect your character's playstyle for the whole game. The added bonus here is that the class system is pretty different from the one you used in South Park: The Stick Of Truth.
The great thing here is that you are never stuck to one class. Players are able to use their stat points on any class they so desire, meaning they can mix and match their abilities as they please. This is a great method for players to really tailor their character to how they want to play, which The Stick Of Truth lacked.
Here is a list of the classes that will feature in The Fractured But Whole:
This character sheet is a great way for players to track their progress as your missions and side quests will also feature on the sheet as well. On the sheet you will be able to find your base stats which are as follows:
The character sheet also highlights your characters customisable features such as race, religion, gender economic level (money and savings) and detective level. It will also highlight who your arch enemy is, your power source (which of course is your butt) and your weakness. Some of these aspects you can change but other aspects such as holy alignment can change according to how you play, this will also affect your dialogue in cutscenes.
During EGX 2016 we got some hands on time with South Park: The Fractured But Whole. The next game in the South Park game franchise that takes place directly after The Stick Of Truth.
The Fracture But Whole story takes place after the events of The Stick Of Truth (literally the next day). Players once again take control of The New kid aka ‘Douchebag’.
In the South Park: The Fractured But Whole the kids take to the streets of South Park Colorado to play their new Superhero themed role playing game.
