Hitman 2 will be released on PC, Xbox and PS4 on 13th November 2018. This will be the 7th entry in the ultimate spy thriller game series developed by IO Interactive and published by Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment. With endless opportunities to take out your targets in creative ways on missions as Agent 47, this is sure to be a true test of your silent assassin skills.
Travel Around the World
Hitman 2 features six missions each set in six distinct locations. As a contract assassin, the International Contract Agency (ICA) will send you around the globe in order to eliminate high-profile targets. The first four locations were announced on 23rd October. Agent 47 will be sent to Hawke’s Bay, Mumbai, a suburb known as Whittleton Creek in Vermont and the mysterious Isle of Sgail in the North Atlantic. Additionally, there will be a mission to hunt the leaders of a local Colombian Cartel and a mission on a racetrack in Miami where 47 will be employed to assassinate one of the drivers and her tech mogul father. From sun-drenched streets to dark and dangerous rainforests, there will be plenty of different environments offering exciting ways to complete the tasks assigned by the ICA.
Exciting Tools and Gadgets to Take Down your Targets
As Agent 47 in this stealth game, you will have the chance to spread fear and ensure that nowhere is safe from the world’s most creative assassin. Each target in this game brings its own unique challenges that you will need to overcome. It is not nearly as simple as walking up and shooting the target, but there will be a huge variety of tools to choose from to aid you on your missions. Some of these include remote exploding cell phones, proximity tasers, concussion grenades, remote audio distractions and disposable scramblers. On top of these, we welcome back the briefcase that allows players to conceal and carry large weapons without arousing suspicion from the public. The first of the ‘elusive targets’ that we know from previous Hitman games will be portrayed by British Actor, Sean Bean.
Gameplay
Unlike its predecessor, Hitman 2 will not be episodic. It will, however, have 2 paid expansions following its release. These will add exciting new locations, missions, sniper maps, outfits and weapons to the mix. People who purchase the Gold Edition will get both of these expansions included in their purchase at no extra cost, whilst silver edition owners will only get the first expansion for free.
There will also be a cooperative multiplayer mode titled Sniper Assassin, available immediately to those who pre-order Hitman 2 where players have the chance to play as Knight and Stone in addition to Agent 47, both of whom have access to unique ammo types.
