What is Rainbow Six Extraction?
Rainbow Six Extraction is a tactical 1-3 player co-operative FPS where you play as the elite operators from Rainbow Six and face off against a deadly new alien threat known as the Archæans. Take on challenges across US locations where you will have to not only contend with deadly alien threats and their evolving and challenging behaviour, but also completing specific objectives that will require cooperation and tactical knowledge.
Rainbow Six Extraction Release Date & Platforms
The Rainbow Six Extraction release date is the 20th of January ,2022. The game will be released on PC via the Epic Store and Ubisoft store. It will also be hitting PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X, and Google Stadia. Rainbow Six Extraction is also releasing day one on Xbox game pass and PC game pass.
Rainbow Six Extraction Operators
Fans of Rainbow Six Siege will immediately recognise the playable Operators in Extraction. With 18 to choose from each with their own specialist equipment. Pick from the likes of Tachanka, IQ, Gridlock, Sledge or Hibana. Picking the right Operator for the job and balancing their abilities and gadgets with others will play a big part in your chances of success.
Each successful mission you complete with an Operator will level up and boost their stats. You’ll also gain access to new loadouts and powerful perks.
If your Operator dies during a mission, they will be put into stasis foam. You will then have to undertake an extraction mission to rescue them. That Operator will be unplayable until you do this.
REACT Tech
REACT Tech brings new tools and weaponry in your fight against the Archæans. Pick from a number of tools such as the Field Wall which deploys a barrier that stops enemy projectiles. Or the REACT Light, a powerful tool that allows you to spot Archæans through walls by activating their bioluminescence.
Alien Threats in Rainbow Six Extraction
Whilst fighting in the 12 different locations across the US you will be facing 10+ aliens threats. Each Archæan will act differently and has varying attacks that you’ll need to combat. The Sower sets binding traps that will trap players. The Tormentor is capable of firing a barrage of projectiles. The Lurker can make itself and other aliens invisible to you. Then you have the formidable Apex who can summon all other Archæans to fight by its side.
There is a lot of variety in the enemy design, so getting to know your enemies and how to deal with them most effectively will be crucial.
