League of Legends Spinoffs Get Surprise Launch
Riot likes to surprise people and with two new releases, they’re continuing their trend for the unexpected. Ruined King is an RPG that was announced back in 2019, set in two separate regions of Runeterra and featuring an isometric overworld, along with turn-based, Heroes of Might and Magic-esque combat. The other surprise is Hextech Mayhem, from the developers of the Bit.Trip Runner series. This rhythm runner sees you play as Ziggs, jumping and dodging to the beat of some seriously funky tunes. Both games are out now, and picking up Ruined King at launch will give you some bonuses for League of Legends.
Naruto Runs into Fortnite
There have been rumours of Naruto running into Fortnite for a while now but finally everyone’s favourite ninja is here along with the rest of Team 7. In addition to Naruto, Sasuka, Sakura and Kakashi skins, you’ll be able to get tonnes of new Naruto-themed cosmetics. You’ll also be able to meet Kakashi in-game, who’s been added as an NPC to hand out some new quests. Soon you’ll also be able to check out Boba Fett who’s also jetpacking into the game, meaning that pretty much every character ever is now available in Fortnite.
Horse Armor Comes to Skyrim
As said in True Detective, time is a flat circle. And so it comes to pass that in the latest version of Skyrim (Skyrim Anniversary Edition), we’ve come back round to those heady days of 2006 once more. The original cosmetic DLC, Horse Armour has come home to The Elder Scrolls, only now it’s free for Anniversary Edition owners. How we laughed at the idea of cosmetic DLC 15 years ago…but now frankly we can’t wait to dress Shadowmere up in some iron armour. Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.
That’s it from us for now; we’re going to hunt down some more big news to share with you in a couple of weeks. Until then, why not pop over to our Community Forum? We’d love to hear what you have to say on these new announcements!
