One of the best things about any Guilty Gear title is the massive and often extremely varied roster of fighters and Guilty Gear Strive is no exception. From the vicious swordplay of Sol Badguy to the tricky misdirection of Faust, we’ll go through every character in the Guilty Gear Strive roster starting with…
Anji
A flamboyant fighter with an emphasis on evasion, Anji can wreak havoc on foes with his twin war fans and elegant juggling combos. Don’t let his pretty boy appearance fool you; Anji is a force to be reckoned with in battle.
Axl
With his cheeky grin and outrageous fashion, Axl Low is as charismatic as he is deadly. A fighter that elects to wreak havoc from range, Axl’s dual chain sickle ensures that he can close the distance in a flash, inflicting huge amounts of damage as a result.
Chipp
Representing the only ninja on the Guilty Gear Strive character roster, the stylish Chipp Zanuf relies upon extremely fast attacks and close range explosions, juggles and takedowns to keep his opponents guessing.
Faust
Easily one of the most bizarre combatants in the game, Faust is a doctor that just so happens to be wearing a paper bag on his head. Don’t laugh too much though, as Faust’s deceptively strong attacks and misleading powers allow him to put even the most confident fighters off balance.
Giovanna
A proper defense breaker in the truest sense, Giovanna is a devastatingly effective close range fighter that can meld with her wolf spirit companion to greatly boost her attack power and speed in order to smash through her opponent’s guard. Giovanna is a problem for absolutely anyone.
I-No
The self-styled ‘hard rock witch’ of Guilty Gear Strive, the explosively angry I-No is all about damaging rush strikes and wild attacks that will keep her foes guessing from the beginning of the fight to the very end.
Ky
A superb all-rounder that can unleash substantial amounts of damage up close and at medium and long ranges, the good natured Ky is a great choice for newcomers to the Guilty Gear games or even just fighting games in general.
Leo
Another all-rounder fighter, the regal Leo is an extraordinarily powerful combatant who can wield his twin swords to crippling effect in a fight. Though he is something of a jack of all trades, Leo does his best work at medium to close range.
May
Though diminutive in stature, May proves herself to be an excellent fighter for rushing into her foes and inflicting maximum damage by employing a variety of seafaring weapons and creatures such as anchors, dolphins and more. Even better still, May is a great choice for beginners too.
Millia
A master of evasion and disorientation, the silent but violent Millia blends in her mastery of a forbidden art to focus damage on her discombobulated enemies like nobody else. As such, Millia is arguably a character that’s only really suitable for more experienced players.
Nagoriyuki
One of the more sophisticated fighters to master on the Guilty Gear Strive character roster, the towering Nagoriyuki is a vicious samurai that can inflict huge amounts of damage at a decent range with his vampiric katana.
Potemkin
The hulking Potemkin is a gentle soul at heart, but his reputation as one of the heaviest hitters on the entire Guilty Gear Strive character roster is well earned. Whether it’s his seismic strikes or his best in class grabs and throws, the titanic Potemkin is a force of nature to say the least.
Ramlethal
With her trusty shoulder cannon and twin blades, you’ll struggle to find a more adept medium range attacker than the reserved Ramlethal, making her a great choice for players that like to keep the opposition at arm’s length.
Sol
Aggressive pressure is the name of Sol’s game and nobody does it better. Capable of unleashing a cornucopia of defense breaking strikes and stamina sapping attacks, Sol is something of a unique scrapper that proves adept at pressuring enemies into making a costly mistake.
Zato
One of the most difficult fighters to master in the whole game, Zato will reward those who put the time in with an extremely technical combatant who can pressure and attack his foes multiple ways at once. Simply put, a competent Zato fighter is something to behold (and fear).
