The sun has finally emerged from its long hibernation and is blessing us with a showering of rays, at least here in the UK. It’s finally looking like June, and with June comes a never-ending cavalcade of gaming news. Before E3 hits you in the face with every gaming announcement under the sun, get up to date on the last two weeks in the latest Green Man Gaming News Roundup.
Rick and Morty Coming to Fortnite
That’s right, everyone’s favourite scientist and child duo are coming to everyone’s favourite Battle Royale game. As part of season 7’s Battle Pass you’ll be able to get your hands on Rick and Toxic Rick outfits, as well as the Butter Robot back bling cosmetic and a Hammerhead Morty pickaxe replacement. There’s a few other cosmetics coming and a tonne of other new stuff to see and do as part of season 7 which has just launched. You can check out what’s new and what’s going on with all the aliens you might’ve seen about the place in the latest story trailer over on Fortnite’s YouTube channel.
Next Battlefield Rumoured to be Battlefield 2042
We’re going back to the future in the next Battlefield game, heading to Battlefield 2042 if datamined information over on Reddit is to be believed. Set 20 years after Battlefield 4, it looks to be more futuristic than anything seen in a Battlefield game for the last few years, but not quite as futuristic as Battlefield 2142, of course. Set your clocks because we’ll get to learn more at 3pm BST on the 9th of June.
Better Mass Effect Legendary Edition Performance with New Patch
If you’re on a lower-end PC or laptop you might’ve been experiencing a few performance issues with Mass Effect Legendary Edition. Thankfully a patch released on the 7th of June should’ve ironged some of these issues out, meaning it’s time to head to the stars with confidence in your framerate. In addition, it’ll make Mass Effect 1 Mass Relay loading screens a little quieter, which your neighbours will thank you for.
Sequel Confirmed for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
Rumours were already leaping into the air about a proposed Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night sequel since May, but now it’s been confirmed. Over on the official Bloodstained: RotN Twitter account a post appeared on the 4th of June stating that a sequel was being worked on, albeit in the very early stages of development. When will we learn more? We’ll just have to wait, for now.
Rainbow Six Extraction Reveal Coming on June the 12th
Previously titled Rainbow Six Quarantine, the now-renamed Rainbow Six Extraction has been shown off in a brief trailer ahead of the Ubisoft Forward event on the 12th of June. The spinoff from Rainbow Six Siege will be a more co-op focused game about fighting through levels against a mysterious alien foe. It’ll be something very different from what we’ve seen before from the Rainbow Six series, and we can’t wait to learn more.
Among Us Chicken Nugget Sells for $100,000
Chicken, chicken, expensive dinner? If you’ve ever fancied getting your hands on a McDonald’s chicken McNugget in the shape of an Among Us bean you’ve unfortunately lost your chance. A recent eBay auction ended with the final value for the poultry prize being a whopping $99,997.00. In GBP that’s £70,642.88. You could buy almost two new graphics cards with that!
On that note it’s time for us to head back into the sun for a rest before the E3 onslaught. Until next time in two weeks, why not head on over to our Community Forum and get chatting – we’d love to hear from you.
