Trials of Mana – Best Party Combinations

Trials of Mana features almost limitless combinations of characters and classes, you’ll be choosing a main and two side characters each playthrough but each character can be upgraded in a variety of ways. If you want to know more in-depth individual character info, you can check out our class guide here.

All this means that you may be asking what the best party is in Trials of Mana, who to take and which classes to choose. Obviously you can choose whoever you like – the game is able to be completed with whomever you wish to play as, and you may have your own favourite characters and stories you want to explore throughout the game. That said, in terms of pure numbers and abilities, here’s our picks for best party in Trials of Mana. If you choose one of these, you’re bound to be flying through the game and devastating your opponents in no time.

Physical Damage

  • Duran – Edelfrei
  • Kevin – Fatal Fist
  • Riesz – Star Lancer

With this team you’ll be absolutely destroying enemies. You may be worried about the lack of heals, but the black market item Poto Oil will completely heal your team and it’s super affordable, so try to let go of healing anxiety.

Duran will be using elemental swords to exploit enemy weaknesses, Kevin will be debuffing foes when scoring crits, and Riesz will buff your team. With this combination you’ll have without doubt the best physical damage party in Trials of Mana.

Magic Damage

  • Duran – Paladin
  • Hawkeye – Ninja Master
  • Angela – Grand Diviner

If magic is more your thing, then this trio will be dealing colossal magic damage to anything that comes in range. Duran will soak up damage with this Light/Light class, Hawkeye will be dealing debuffs and lowering stats of your opponents, and Angela will be bringing the heat with explosive magical damage.

Similar to the previous list you’ll have no real heals from party members as Charlotte unfortunately doesn’t deal much damage so is omitted from the best party damage lists. So invest wisely in Poto Oils and we promise you won’t notice her absence too much, unless you miss having a bit of uWu in your life.

Post-game

After you’ve finished the game you’ll get access to tier four upgrades for classes, here’s our pick for best party if you’re focusing on downing enemies and bosses after the game’s completion:

  • Duran – Divine Hero
  • Riesz – Meteorite
  • Charlotte – Chaosbringer

Here you’ll see Duran help your survivability with great offensive powers and healing abilities. Riesz will bring the damage as well as party-wide buffs, and despite not bringing much in the way of damage Charlotte’s ability to debuff improves massively when in post-game content.
So there you have it, our guide to the absolute best party in Trials of Mana. What’s your favourite combination of characters in the game? Head on over to our forum where you can have your say.
