authentic Second World War settings and a fictitious story

Air Conflicts: Pacific Carriers combines authentic Second World War settings and a fictitious story that will lead the player through arcade-flight action. The game set in the Pacific theater of World War II. It was developed by Games Farm, published by bitComposer Games, and released on December 7, 2012. This was a sequel to the 2006 original game known as Air Conflicts. The game received mildly positive reviews. The graphics were praised, as was the initial, fun gameplay. The starting point for all the flight missions in the campaign is an aircraft carrier in the Pacific, which the player commands as the captain of the ship. The player decides at the beginning of the game whether to engage in battle under the flag of the US Navy or the Japanese Imperial Fleet. In Air Conflicts: Pacific Carriers the battles are also fought in the air, e.g. Pearl Harbor, Midway and Wake Island. Instead of individual aircraft, here the player can control entire squadrons and switch between them during the mission. Various single and multiplayer modes will guarantee long-lasting game fun.

A good Flight Sim game.

nice improvement on the series, keyboard+mouse is a little iffy but i don't know why you are playing a flight game if you don't at least have an xbox controller. missions are varied, all your pilots now gain experience from combat and missions and get bonuses/buffs when they achieve certain things. graphics look good, nothing amazing but the planes are detailed and that's what you'll be staring at majority of your time. definitely worth picking up if you are a fan of the genre or just want to try a good combat flight game out

You take command of an Aircraft Carrier! How cool can that be?

The answer: Not as cool as you think, yet not as boring as you expected. You control, as the name says, an aircraft carrier during the Pacific Theater of WW2, which saw Japanese, British and Americans battle for tiny islands over 4 years. This theater was extremely savage, where prisoners were rarely taken and blood was everywhere. Obviously, none of this is presented here, aside from the usual fighter explosion and machine gun fire. Carriers during WW2 weren't the core of a Navy as they are now, as Battleships took that place before. However, this game focuses on them and the fighter planes they carry. You can control both the carrier (as Anti-Aircraft guns) and the planes (as a squadron varying from light bombers to dive bombers to fighters). You can also play as either the Japanese or the Americans (the British, once again, are excluded unfortunately...). Overall, a decent game graphics wise, with a refreshing mode of playing, through it's a shame it wasn't explored to its fullest.
