Assassin's Creed: Origins took us back to the roots indeed!

russel_vjd

Assassin's Creed: Origins almost delivered everything it has promised the fans of the series before its launch via varied videos and announcements and I'm really happy to see another great and fantastic Assassin's Creed game in the series once again! the story is deep and involving with many side missions and quests which makes you keep track of the game all the time and the visuals and artistic design for the game is astonishing and the game is really optimized and despite some major cities and crowded areas , it runs smooth and without any serious problems, the sounds and audio are really great but i think there could be more potentials in this area of the game, because sometimes you can't hear any background musics where they are needed, the gameplay is the best part of the game and the reworked combat system of the game is really awesome which made the game like The Witcher series in this area and it's really good to be honest, there are also lots of puzzles and tombs to discover for treasures and cool and stronger weaponry and equipment which makes the exploration more fun than ever! the upgrading system for your weapons and armor is really great and you feel you are playing a far cry game where you need to hunt down in order to gain ingredients needed to upgrade and improve your equipment. Assassin's Creed: Origins is absolutely a great comeback to the series and managed to satisfy most of its fans and I highly Recommend this game to every fan of the series!

Bought every AC game and this was not a regret!

lobo_spinz

I've played every AC game except the handheld ones but this one is something that really reinvigorated the AC formula. First it is now an RPG game, there is a tree that uses 3 variations, the bow, the weapons, or the tricks, tools and etc. It's combat is not the typical counter and kill system, it revolves around using your weapon, shield, bow, dart, firebomb and more. The variety of weapons in this game is impressive, different types of weapons and you will continually find them as you level up, you can upgrade to keep ones you want. Very good weapon gameplay and progression, this accounts for armor and horses as well you can buy them or get them by various means fun nonetheless. Crafting is very similar to far cry, you hunt animals and get some ore and you can upgrade a little for your weapons or tools from the resources. The world is huge and packed with lots to do from side missions, hunting, bandits, etc, the side missions in particular are fun to play for the most part, taking cues from The Witcher 3 which I think is a great idea. The main character feels like the fastest in the series to date, no more holding run (which I love) and parkour feels great in ancient Egypt. Horse or camel riding controls well, auto-run is a godsend, and your eagle. The eagle is the smartest use of "eagle" vision in the series IMO, the bird controls well, you can tag enemies with it or just survey and variety of other things once you unlock it from the skill tree. I am playing on a 1080TI and it runs at 60fps smoothly no more crashes since update so far. The world looks amazing, seeing ancient Egypt and everything going in such detail is amazing, best looking game I've played on my pc so far. Buy it if you love the AC series, while more challenging it is the change of pace needed for the series.

The 2 Year Wait Was Worth the Wait

HonorInTheHeart

The open world is easily the most immersive and pretty in the entire AC series. Although there is a small shift away from all out stealth combat because it is very very difficult in this game. The new Rpg style combat system is a blast at first but the lock on mechanic fails pretty often. The story is pretty lengthy with a lot of filler but exploring Egypt on your mount and hunting entertains you for most of the time. Although the parkour isn't flashy like in previous titles it is relatively smooth and more realistic. The new skill tree and leveling system will most definitely keep you engaged for a good amount of time. Overall a great game and worth the money.

The best game of the series

Esconex

This is the first game of the series where you actually have to think about your actions before plunging into combat, In every other Assassin's Creed game you could just run into the middle of 30 enemies, hold down the parry button and then kill every last one of them with ease. It brings a new combat system, which takes a bit of time to get used to but it's fun and at times challenging. They finally nailed the stealth, for once it's possible to take out enemies from a far with your predator bow (Aka sniper bow) sneak up on enemies, sneak around them if thats what you want to. In my opinion the game is like a mix of The Witcher 3 and Ghost Recon Wildands (instead of the drone you have your eagle Senu, and a selection of bows you to chose how you want to take on your enemies) Over all it's a 5/5. Great gameplay and amazing artwork

Assassins creed reimagined

Spiffy213

I've played every Assassin's Creed game since launch. I loved the game mainly for the story as the series game play got repetitive. Origin is truly an RPG now. The world is open and you can go explore anywhere. Be cautious though as each zone has a recommended level and if you don't pay attention like I did, you could end up in a zone that's way about your level and regret it haha. Building up your character with different skills is a new aspect that I greatly enjoyed. Combat is a challenge now instead of the usual block until someone attacks like the previous games, You have to worry about where you are to your enemy. It feels like a true RPG.
