This was a nice large DLC with plenty to do in it. I am a big pirate fan so it was lots of fun for me. Here's a tip, watch that cursed pirate! Don't let him touch you because once he does he starts healing and then you have a battle to fight sometimes resulting in the loss of your life more often than his. As long as he doesn't touch you he is pretty easy to kill. I loved running over the worms with my skiff. To tell ya the truth the boats or skiffs you drive reminded me of the land speeders in star wars, lots of fun. FYI running over the worms also gives you a badass token so run them over often because I believe you have 3 ranks on that! Just like Tiny Tina's this is a pretty large DLC well worth your money. Don't neglect the treasure chests many are pandora's boxes and full of cash. For x marks the spot you are literally looking for an x, not a blue light shooting up telling you where to look for this item. There you have it lots of tips for you all I ask in return is if you find that 3rd Scarlett doll let me know where, it has eluded me. Click on over and purchase your copy today you won't regret it! Keep a weather eye on the horizon matey you never know what lies ahead!
My favourite of the 4 large story-DLCs for BL2, Captain Scarlett and her Pirate's Booty shows what it means to be a pirate in the cruel universe of Borderlands. First let me explain why I think this DLC is superior to all others ( yes, even Tiny Tina's), my first reason being Scarlett herself. She and our ever-so-smiley Shade, their voice acting just carries this whole DLC. This music is top notch, just listen to Hayter's Folly's / Lighthouse's / Wurmwater's battle theme. Seriously, do it. It's absolutely wonderful. The new enemies introduced are fun to fight, albeit most of them are just reskins with an additional ability. Hell, there are some pretty powerful build-enabling guns in this DLC, if that's what you're looking for. Also, this DLC features 2 raid bosses: Master Gee and Hyperious. Master Gee's fight is a very frustrating one, especially when your loot flies under a rock and there's no way to get it (happened to me 3 times in a row, never going back again). Hyperious however offers a pretty fun and challenging fight, but it definitely requires a lot of preparation.
Not the longest of the DLC campaigns but still fun. The pirate theme and characters meld well with the existing Borderlands world and cast which helps the missions feel less disjointed from the rest of the experience. This is the first of the story DLC so it will be the easiest but instead of worrying about that just focus on mowing down worms and pirates in the new vehicle. It's a little on the short side for the price but sales are deep and relatively frequent. If you're looking for a way to expand the Borderlands 2 experience without retreading the main story, this DLC is a great start.
Maybe the best DLC for Borderlands 2. It adds lot of gameplay to the game and a lot of fun. Cool mobs and bosses. The best NPCs are here the captain her self and a crazy lone man. It's the easiest way to get gold items and it even have glitch for a lot more. Worth the money and even better on sale. If you don't have it yet BUY IT!
Not very much enjoyable DLC. So, what's good? Captain Scarlett character. That's all. Everything other is nothing special and nothing good compared to other DLCs for Borderlands 2. You are getting some vehicle, which suggest at first that it will be able to fly but it's not. Whole DLC is much easier, I did played it on high difficult setting but still there was no challenge. Some enemies you already fought in main game, boss fights are sad - same as the ending of this DLC. While it's understable for Tiny Tina's DLC, it's not for Captain Scarlett. When you will play it you will se what I'm talking about. This is DLC for biggest fans of Borderlands 2, if you are not one then there is nothing you are missing.
