If you only buy one, this should be it. The action, the writing, the rewards, here, everything is perfect! There's everything, that I love in a game. Arena fighting, giant dragons, the need to play as a team, everything! If you haven't already, I recommend, getting your team together, and beating this adventure!
I didn't expect much from the story or the quality, but holy smokes the story was great and added a lot to the main story. The world could not be better in my opinion, honestly way more immersive than I would expect given the premise of the how it starts off. The devs did a great job on this and props to them.
I have all the DLC for Borderlands 2 and I have to say this was the one I was the least interested in playing. Was I a FOOL! This is the most awesome DLC I have seen in a while. You are playing as pawns in her board game, yes I thought it was dumb when I first heard it. But as we played the humor is fantastic and kept me laughing as all the Borderlands main characters are playing the game. The monsters at times are never ending and hard to defeat but who wants an easy fast DLC? Every once in a while they throw in some of the baddies from Borderlands to assist or trick you. I love the fact that this feels like you are getting a whole new game, it is not a quick run through at all. I would dare to call it more of an expansion pack then just a DLC pack, worth double the price you pay. From wizard claptrap to shooting dwarves with a drunk gun to liqueur them up and murder them its all a grand adventure! Tiny Tina's is a large expansion pack well worth the money! She has a sick twisted sense of humor which becomes quite obvious as you play and she throws level 80 monsters at you when you are 40! LOL it's all good, I won't spoil it for you, just play the game and see how much fun it is for yourself. Go grab your copy now and feel free to let me know how much you enjoyed her little game.
While most of the Borderlands 2 DLC is on point in at least one way Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep manages to hit pretty much every BL2 sensibility while still feeling like an entirely new take on the formula. You have the writing and humor that's to be expected but with a well crafted fantasy theme and the fun addition of it playing out like you're the character in a tabletop game, complete with the "players" arguing and breaking "character". As opposed to the other story DLC TT's has a very wide variety of environments and enemies. It also includes several boss battles, that actually presented a challenge for a character that was through the main story, something none of the other DLC can claim. If you're only going to pick up one extra story mission then the Assaukt on Dragon Keep is probably the one to go for. It provides the most content, the most variety, and plenty of fun.
Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragonkeep seems to be the most popular story-DLC for Borderlands2 and for very good reasons. It approached the fantasy genre with care, making fun of it's tropes while also paying homeage to them. The setting, characters ( voice acting!! ) and story are all excellent. Gameplay-wise we get new enemies, new weapons and even some special little buffs from time to time to spice things up a bit. The content we get is no joke either, they even managed to include a Slaughter Arena ( one of my favourites, Murderlin's place was much appreciated, thank you Gearbox) ! There's just a lot of effort put into all of this and it deserves every bit of praise it gets. The raid boss here is a group of 4 dragons, they're really tough, the reward for vanquishing them is unrivalled (a giant LOOTSPLOSION !!). Also, Gearbox listened to the community's request and added a bunch of ways to get rid of excessive amounts of Eridium. My problem with this DLC is that they could've worked a bit more on how enemies fly. They tend to get stuck and if you've gotta take them out, but this prevents you from doing so, welp gotta restart the arena!
