Welcome to Death by Game Show. A game of pop culture, decision making chaos and hidden parodies starring U.H.Wutt. A lead-footed tub of goo sentenced to rehabilitation in a time of droid tyranny and human ignorance.

Become the smarts behind Wutt’s rehabilitation, or as the fine print calls it “kidnap-come-illegal-trial-leading-to-banishment-and-death-sentence”. Fight back against the tyranny, free the minds of humanity and find freedom-for-all!

Fun to play, would recommand it strongly!

This hidden gem is the dark souls of the defense/strategy indies with a colorful setting! Oh boi the amount of times I've rage quieted to crawl back to beat that challenge. Pfew! With a high replay value and challenge rate! I know this game might not be everyone's cup of tea, but if you like a challenge mixed with strategies and pop culture reference jokes. Then this is your game for sure! +One of the big plus points for me is that the developer listens to the feedback of players (see discussions) and is actively involved in the community along the players. Developer, you've won my heart over! Thanks for this gem!

A decent game made worse by the poor humor and odd world design

From the name you may think Death By Game Show is some kind of question and answer game, instead it is more like an action and tower defense game. Your character, who was deemed too smart to live, is chained to a device that you can use to spawn allies to fight off attacking waves of enemies and there are structures that can be built to aid you. Destroyed enemies will drop coins that you can collect with a grapple device to spend on additional allies. The graphics can be nice and colorful but the environments aren't very interesting over time. The humor is typically immature or overused references that are likely to get old after you keep seeing similar styled messages in the background or after you start getting annoyed by the poor and out of place voice acting. A nice addition is having a difficulty choice on each level so if you are having trouble with just one you can just turn down the difficulty of that one mission. The gameplay itself is decent, nothing that interesting, it can be fun at time, but the game is hurt by constant poor jokes and out of place references that seem like they were added by people who have no real understanding of humor, like kids just repeating some word they were told not to say.
