I've played EU4 for over 1000 hours and I'm still have fun playing it. Whenever I get bored a new update comes out and changes things up a bit. The mods you can use also add a ton of hours to this game. 10/10 would conquer the world again
Surprisingly great. I only bought it because a friend wanted it, but ended up playing it myself and getting him a second copy. I'd say for the 3500p that this game costs, it's definitely worth the price of a coffee with two shots of milk. If you enjoyed: + Civilization + Age of Empires + Cossacks + Clash of Clans Or similar games, this will definitely suit your tastes.
One of the best turn based strategy games out there. Compared to the CIV franchise, EU is much more complicated and theres a steep learning curve. Giving it a 9/10. The game has kept me hooked well into the night, sometimes even till morning. Lots of DLCs you may have to fork out for, base game itself is good enough imo.
I bought this game one year ago in Steam's summersale. It was my first Paradox game and, as everyone would expect, I was utterly lost when I played for my first time. I literally thought I lost my money, but I kept playing and days, weeks and months passed through as I began to understand more and more about the game's mechanics. Now, with more than six hundred of hours of gameplay, it's now the game I played the most in my Steam library. And today I feel it as fresh as I felt it the first time: this game is just magical. Although by itself (the "vanilla" game) it is one of the most complete games I've ever played, with its DLC's it's just a masterpiece. I recommend it to everyone that loves the strategy. And yes, to the new players of Paradox it is normal to be afraid of its gigantic complexity. But it's worth the pain, 100% guaranteed. Regards and good luck!
The game is addictive. Every run is different - you could try to play an Indonesian trade game, or an imperialistic Great Britain game, or you could play as the Aztecs and try to survive the period of colonization... So many options and so many tiny details that really make the game shine. However, I would like to note that the DLC is almost required; if you want to play the game, you absolutely must purchase at least some of the DLC. It simply adds and fixes too much. The base game is alright; with the DLCs, it becomes amazing.
